some of its magic, some of its tragic, but he had a good life all the way.
Saw him live on Hilton Head in 1990 at the high school stadium. Only time I’ve ever sat up close at a concert (third row).
Fair winds, following seas, and a safe arrival at that one particular harbor…
True story: I was on the island of Anguilla in 1994, celebrating my 30th birthday with a Windjammer Barefoot cruise on the 4-master Polynesia, when this random dude walks up and says very seriously, “You know, one of these days the Parrotheads are gonna rule the world.”

Sweet!!!
Bound to be some Dawgs who love boats as much as they love Buffett and he loved boats. So thought I'd post this write up on the 42 Freeman w/a custom Pilot House fab'd by Merritt Boatworks he commssioned.
Son of a son of a Sailor, what a machine...
Apparently, JB had a case of 12 foot-itis and had a 56 Freeman in the works, as well.
All said, even if you don't like boats, it's a great read about how Buffett related to and treated the people in his world, further enhancing what a terrific person JB was.

Excellent read. As a non-boat person, it was very informative.
Good read. Had a Freeman in port at our local marina a few years back. It had just been sold and was being moved up north. Didn't ask but word was it was one of JBs old boats. Capt was a super nice guy and gave me a quick tour while I was gassing up my little skiff. One of the coolest fishing cats I've ever been on. A true fisherman's dream boat if there ever was one.
