Way different Vandergrif from last week. Because of the failure of the oline to block on the run play, it forced 2 passes. That was UT offense, have the ball for less than a minute. Now to put the defense back out there after just being on the field for 6 minutes.
Not getting the ball for the backup qb's is a good way to lose one. And now more prevent defense. SMH.
This game should of been 45-0 at the half. With Brock and Gunner playing the whole 2nd half.
I'm sorry, if Beck goes out. UGA can easily lose 4 games. Of course, our o-line gives up the only sack.
Well looks like both backup QBs AND their supporting cast need allot of work.
Brock primarily working with our 2s and Gunner working with our 3s. So the picture is not totally clear. But we better hope Beck stays healthy.
1 st and 4th quarters were duds!
Your right they were. Sadly. But IMHO I see today as a smidgen of improvement. Not leaps and bounds but some. I’m not a prophet and certainly not a football expert but I predicted this before the game. Now the thing is in Both games Kirby nearly played the whole roster !! So from that stand point that’s a good thing.
OK Yall have a great rest of the weekend. All we can ask and expect of our Dawgs now though is work, work, work Even Harder on the practice field. Watch the film. Hone their craft. Get better. Y’all just keep in mind Both of the last two National Title teams had hiccups, slow starts, bad outings etc. etc. Especially early in the season. So Y’all Keep The Faith !! God Bless and Go Dawgs !!!
Final thoughts.
3rd string defense, is really young and inexperienced.
150 yards of offense in the 2nd half. And given up that much also. Not enough offensive possessions in the 2nd half to get back up qb's in the game.
Happy for the win, but really just glad the biggest games are later in the season.
I know staying somewhat vanilla, has hurt play calling. But line of scrimmage blocking is terrible. By the oline and receivers.
Hopefully comes together next week.
GO DAWGS!!!!!
