TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Texas might not be all the way back after beating Alabama, but at the very least the Longhorns are on the come up.

That's why they play em. I know Georgia has a weak schedule, but Ohio State isn't exactly facing juggernauts. Not the Dawgs fault, the conferences set the schedules. Looking forward to a wide open SEC next year where the cream rises to the top.

I hope Texas is convinced that they are back. I'm not so sure, not based on beating Alabama.

This is not the same Alabama program that dominated for a decade. Take Bryce Young off of the 2022 team and it would've been an average 8-4 SEC team. Alabama still has the highest Blue-chip ratio, but after that, there is nothing else to point to as elite. Bama has had a marked drop-off in player development over the last 2-3 years and it caught up to them last year. Replacing two coordinators and one off-season is too soon to fix that.

They can still run the table and make the play-offs, but this does not look like a program that's capable of doing that. Not anymore.

@SmartsTheMan Alabama goes 8-4 without Bryce Young in 2021 also. Alabama cannot run the table and make the playoff because they will run into UGA in the the SECCG.

I agree. No way this team runs the table. They look like a 9-3 team right now. Maybe they run the regular season but we will spank that backside.

TX looks like the real deal. Sark has recruited and built an SEC team. Ewers looks like one of the best , if not the best, QB in CFB. A top notch QB that is protected can carry a team to a championship.

AL has apparently not corrected its penalty problem. Penalties were the difference in the game. Penalties took 2 TD's off the board. Add the 2 INT's (1 basically a pick6) and the mistakes cost the formerly #3 ranked team a loss to the now #4 ranked team.

AL had difficulty running (where was Justice Haynes?) and needed to pass more effectively in that game. Mildly surprised CNS didnt change to a passing QB in the 2nd half. But AL did lead after 3Q's. Just folded in the 4th.

Long season still a dangerous team. SEC seems to be down this year. After 2 weeks, LSU, SC, aTm have all lost to ACC teams. AL lost to Big12. FL lost to PAC12. MS struggled w/Tulane and AU struggled w/Cal. Which means AL can still make noise this season provided it cleans up its game.

Interesting how people here think the Dawg players will improve over the course of the season but AL players won't.

Injuries starting to look worrisome for UGA. RB's need to get healthy at some point. BB? Doesn't look right. Something is nagging him. Might want to rest him for a couple weeks.

Yesterday I watched a couple of You Tube videos. Later I shared them with my wife because I knew she too would laugh out loud. Both are by an Alabama fan who goes by the name Kangaroo Black.

Just now, I found a website with loads of his videos. I'll leave links assuming that's okay. He's not a reporter, just a trash talking fan.

Watch the first little bit of ⇣ this video ⇩. Just watch enough to get where he's coming from. You don't need to watch it for long. You'll see why later.

The fun's in the ⇣ next video ⇣. Don't watch much of the one above, but you need a little of it to set the next one up.

Hope you enjoy 'em as much as we did.

    Go, Dawgs!
