Yes!!!!!! Agree with @Kudzu !!!!
Post of the day!
Go Dawgs!
And it’s been said that If a frog had wings he wouldn’t bust his butt……..🙄
Actually, that is the point. In the article is shows he wasn't making plays up to that point. Hadn't made one since early in the 2nd quarter. How does that equate to making plays up to that point. He made plays up to10:56 left in the 2nd quarter not up until he was knocked out of the game.
If you watch the replay he also dropped the ball before Bullard got to him so no touchdown. May see it better on the replay from behind.
Aint retreading this one...OSU needs to move on...it is 2023.
Excuses are for losers…….winners never make excuses, but we would have won by 5 TDs if Darnell hadn’t been injured. 😉
Go Dawgs!!!
And I quote what a DGD once said - “Game is over. We scored more points than they did. Next…”
I can’t get over a UGA beat writer wanting to write on it again. But…. Goal accomplished! Got quite a few hits and comments.
Exactly. The Dawgs had already solved for Harrison and, had his number.
What the OSU AD said....was about as "self-serving" of a statement as I've ever heard. "Hrumph....if we hadn't had, the integrity to put our players' health first..we would've won a Natty...snort, snort...hrumpf." Bull...frog!
That was one of the best hits I've EVER seen in a game. And, I've seen more than a few. It was clean and textbook. How it's not held up as an example of great tackling in the secondary, by the "high-dollar" gum-flappers at ESPN (etal.)...is beyond me. Some of those guys played the game...and, they act like they're scared to tell it like it is...as "Dandy" Don Meredith used to say. Howard Cosell's...every one of em.
We live in a pu$$y football world, today...if they can't call "that", one of the greatest "hits" in playoff history. Cause, it is...I don't care what "they" say. He should get a "helmet sticker" every week this year...just for that '22-'23 "hit"....that resonates, to this day.
The willful ignorance has gotta be part of the Anti-Dawg bias, that has existed since before I was even thought of.
Notice...the Dawg Players and Staff have never reciprocated OSU's barbs and false claims. UGA owns Marvin Harrison Jr & OSU, now. Who's next? Lol
In case nobody says it....
Javon Bullard..."Great Freakin' Hit"!!! Keep em comin', buddy. That's how Football was meant to be played.
I like to know what's being said, out there...so, I'd rather hear it here, first. I don't read a lot of the other CFB news...and, I don't trust ESPN.
To this day....you can go to ESPN's CFB Website...and find it plastered with Saban, Bama, OSU, Deion Sanders (and Son), Colorado Buffaloes,, USC, Lincoln Riley, Caleb Williams....basically anything, BUT, Georgia subject matter. Unless, of course, it's "bad" for UGA.
DN does a good job of covering CFB news that may effect the Dawgs, in some way. I wouldn't spit on ESPN, if they were on fire. Lol
If CFB had had the '23 clock rules in '22 OSU could've won also. Truly a miraculous win. 4 pivotal plays all went UGA's way (rightfully - except for the chance missed FG). Overdue IMO. UGA has had its share of plays go against them as well.
(D'Andre) Walker’s skills were on display in the SEC Championship Game in December. The UGA senior from Fairburn dominated for much of the game before a groin injury sidelined him in the third quarter. (Dawgnation 2/27/19 - MG)
Walker said he suffered his injury with six minutes left in the third quarter, at which point Georgia led 28-14. (DN -MG)
"one of the greatest hits in football history"? Definitely one of the most timely. To me it wasn't that (literally?) big a hit. #22 didn't launch. He isn't 200 lb. Didn't hit him in the head. Head didn't hit the ground. I think BB's took a bigger hit than that in last week's game. Harrison may just have a glass jaw.
If the clock rules were different...UGA's approach to the game would've been different. You can't go back and relitigate a football game.
I don't know, why you would want to...unless, the first 3 football weekends of 2023 are so boring, we have to look backward to find competition.
IF...You don't think that was a great hit...I'm curious as to what position(s) you played. And, have you ever hit anybody...or, been hit so hard your teeth rattle?. Lol. That play would've been played on loop, in our locker-room. Textbook.
1 - I dont get Smith's reference to this play and Harrsion not returning to the game as some example of "independent oversight". Is he implying that other teams send their players back on the filed after the doctor has determined that they have concussion.
2- Smith needs to be reminded of the axiom - "If ifs and buts were candy and nuts we'd all have a Merry Christmas"! He and OSU fans need to shut their piehole! It was a legal football play - get over it!
