Kentucky coach Mark Stoops compares ‘Absolute freak’ Brock Bowers to Michael Jordan
ATHENS — Georgia tight end Brock Bowers wasn’t hearing any “outside noise” when asked about hearing his name mentioned with the Heisman Trophy.

Just a phenomenal player, worthy of the Heisman. If he continues to have a great season and the Dawgs are in position to three peat he may well get the trophy....
JUst a good dude altogether. If you had a daughter around his age and you had some mutual conctacts, you know what I mean dads.
Sit back and enjoy. Just realize that this is his farewell UGA tour.
Bowers is well deserving of a Heisman nomination. He's arguably the best PLAYER period in college football. I'd vote for Brock over ANY player in the country, Caleb Williams, Quinn Ewers, or any of the "experts" picks for the award. Nobody is a better all around player than Bowers..NOBODY. And it's not even close..GoDAWGS!
He's the best college football player in the nation.
To me, the most amazing part is how easy Brock Bowers makes it all look. He makes circus catches like he's on cruise control.
Go, Dawgs!
We will be California Dreamin long after Brock leaves for the NFL. Getting this west coast man has made this east coast community extremely blessed!
I want to see them line up Dillon Bell in the slot and have him run a deep route over the middle. See if he and Beck can connect. If it works, then repeat. If it means that teams are going to defend Bell when he comes into the game ... good. Because, well, Brock Bowers! Just a thought ...
I guess if Brock Bowers leads us to a 3-peat then the comparison might be ok. Nothing against Brock he is the best TE I've seen but Jordan was the best athlete I've seen in any sport.
Could be his year… the noise over the Heisman being a QB award is growing louder and louder. 😉
They have the Maxwell for qbs only I thought.
Jordan is probably the best basketball player I have ever seen, but he is not the best athlete I have ever seen. That would be Bo Jackson.
The issue with Heisman campaigns for pass catchers is that - flag football systems aside - they only get the ball about 7-8 times a game. So the guys who get it are usually also return specialists. Also, you are underestimating the numbers that Bowers would have to get. DeVonte Smith had nearly 1900 yards and 25 TDs, and that was a 10 game regular season. TEs usually don't put up numbers like WRs, but you would think that he would need at least 1200-1300 yards. Ironically, the best way for that to happen would be if the players around Bowers get better i.e. if UGA gets a running game good enough to force teams to put one safety that they want to use to cover Bowers in the box, and if UGA has a vertical threat at WR good enough to force teams to play the other safety that they want to use for Bowers as downfield help.
Compare his attitude to caleb williams, who listed winning a second heisman as his second most important goal.
Bowers is pure football.
If Bowers leads us to a 3rd championship he will stand alone in ALL of college football history going back to Don Heinrich himself who invented the huddle at Yale.
For all you college football historians no single player has been more important than the Yale teams of the 19th century and Don Heinrich. I think Yale won like 4 in a row and 5 in row. They invented the huddle.
All UGA fans have been spoiled having BB's. Not a top 100 recruit, came out of nowhere, to be dominant from day 1. IF BB's has his best statistical year (almost impossible) he will be a Heisman finalist.
Might be a long time before his level of greatness passes through Athens again. He will be missed next season.
We all hope for all the players to avoid injury. Biggest hope is for BB's to play all season injury free. Let his stat's talk for him.
