I get Crean and Matta, but can't we go younger with Willard?

I don't care much for hiring guys with physical issues or who were recently fired.

Why not a younger guy like Willard? Check out Iona and Seton Hall. If he can win there, methinks he could in the SEC as well.

I absolutely have followed Seton Hall since I was little. Absolutely rooted for them consistently. So I would have no problem with Willard. However, Matta was not fired for being an awful coach. He was actually a very good coach who had some back issues and the thirteen year grind had softened him. I think it was a mutual parting of ways with the Assistant AD, the AD, and Matta at Ohio State. He has been obviously rehabbing and relaxing and wants back in. I think we should give him a shot. He is 50 years old with a huge name.

The antics of NBA players have pretty much turned me off to basketball in the last 10 years. Can someone explain to me why Crean was unable to be successful at Indiana? It should be easier for a coach to recruit to Indiana than the University of Georgia in basketball.
