ATHENS — Compared to past seasons, Georgia’s 2023 signing class has yet to have someone really pop in the way Brock Bowers did in 2021 or Malaki Starks did a season ago.

By my count, The Dawgs have enough players to make at least two teams of "No Names"........Damon is working his way up the chart, just waiting for his opportunity to make Head Lines.....just like several other DGD's to be.......Jacksonville is the perfect stage....and by Natty Time, if The Dawgs are so blessed, that Trophy will be slathered with CREAM that has more than risen!

I actually wondering more about the other Wilson since our MLB position is so weak and slow. We need some fresh blood really badly at the MLB position.

I realize our Dawgs are in the heat of battle for This year. But can we even begin to imagine how good the 2024 Dawgs Could be ?? Wow !! The injuries this team has had have been devastating to say the least. But from a 2024 standpoint it’s caused Kirby to play guys that might not have gotten an opportunity.

The Real game experience will be very valuable for these younger players next year. This team is Loaded with talent. And I Believe we’re about to see it unleashed !! Go Dawgs !!!!

Thanks for the nice article about Damon. But do you really have to continue starting every reference to Peyton Woodring with "After a shaky start to his career..."? The kid is solid and getting better, so let's focus on that . Even with a couple of tough early games, he's kicked 80% of his field goals and 100% of his extra points. I think that puts him in the top 20 nationally and top 5 in the SEC. And he's a freshman. Three position groups have to do their job extremely well before you even get a shot at kicking an irregular leather object through uprights18 feet apart and 120 feet away in whatever weather is happening. That stuff's hard, but by the time he graduates, Woodring will be right there with a long history of great Georgia kickers. Go Dawgs!

Well said !! Very Well said !! It’s so easy for me as a fan to sit in my recliner and criticize these young players. But it’d be like climbing Mt. Everest to get out and DO what they Do !! I think all to often we lose sight of that. I’m glad you reminded us that these are very young men, men, Yes, but still very young, and doing Incredible things !! Go Dawgs !!

Interesting to see Damon Wilson getting more playing time just as Darris Smith is listed as "not with the team". Wonder, is that by necessity or was Darris getting passed by Wilson and the other young outside linebackers. Kirby is so tight-lipped about these things, we may never know. No matter, I look forward to seeing the very talented young outside backers get their shot.

Out of necessity. The UGA D will be super young next year w/o a deep dip into the TP. With a 27 member (or more ) recruiting class not sure how UGA can add players from the TP.

    Realize 3, 22, 23, 10, 2, 90, 78, 96, 97 are all draft eligible and likely to leave off the '23 D.
