Georgia Tech: No moral victories, ‘missed opportunities’ in 31-23 loss to No. 1 Georgia
Georgia Tech coach Brent Key was proud of his team’s effort, but he wasn’t interested in any moral victories on Saturday night after a 31-23 loss to No. 1 Georgia.

Hats off to Tech. They had a great game plan.
Out True Freshman linebackers won't be freshman next year.
Freshmnenlinebackers or not. All tech had was 3 stars and walk on. What a shameful game letting Tech go the distance with the #1 team in the country. Good thing this wasn't boxing. Shhooo weee
The uga team from last night stands no chance of beating Bama. Edge defense has been horrible all year. No blitzing. They got a lot of yards between the tackles. Dont know how you fix it in 5 days. Freshman linebackers, one of our corners is consistantly sub par, and our interior line isn't measuring up. And Bama is next.
I don't care what it cost, we need Buster back! ......talk about PLAY CALLING CREATIVITY.....With a true duel threat QB next year, can you imagine the offensive havoc we could raise....BK needs to figure out how to get the Bees that motivated....they should not have lost to any ACC team this year playing like they played us....the only thing that will keep the Bumbling Bees out of a great Bowl Game is their pathetic fan base.
There’s a strong likelihood Beck comes back and Brock transfers. That is the more likely scenario. And Bobo is a plenty good play caller. There was nothing creative at all about their game plan or play calling, our guys just didn’t have their hearts in it, and theirs did.
If Key goes for it on 4th down instead of kicking a fg. And doesn't miss any fgs, is all that kept them from winning.
Playing the way GT did, is a great recruiting tool. Extra bodies on that dline, they may hold up better against the run.
You sound exactly like an Ocryo State fan. Take your L, like a boss. You got beat. The game did not hinge on a few plays. If you want to play the "if" game, we can do that. "IF" UGA didn't get called for phantom holding penalties and linemen downfield, and tech got called for mugging uga defensive lineman, the game would have not been as close. If over 1/3 of our offensive starters were not out, it would have been a blowout. There are not just a few "if's" that bring about a tech win. You got your "if's", which prevented a blowout. Congrats.
IF the DAWGS would've had Bowers, Mckonkey and Rara. IF the DAWGS defense would've played better against the run, it wouldn't have even been close game. IF, IF, IF. It works both ways.UGA runs this state, and will continue to do so in the future..GoDAWGS!
I will give them credit, they did more with less. I thought we came out flat, very little excitement on our side and a great deal of enthusiasm and excitement on theirs. Could be fatigue or our guys just believing it was going to be another cake walk. On the other hand as shown by the other rilvary games across the nation, the underdog seems to gain more of the advantange.
