Stock down - the Defense. Linebackers, D Line, Secondary. Tech ran the ball down our throats, and bama was watching. Michigan won their game by running the ball down Ohio State's throat. We have freshman backers, and they looked like it. If we don't grow up in the next five days, their will be no third national championship. If you lose to bama, the nation will keep us out just on principle alone. They don't want Georgia to be the greatest, because it would ruin their belief about Michigan, Ohio State, Alabama, USC and the like.

Wondering where Rosemy Jack-Saint was against Tech. He wasn't even targeted by Beck at all during the game. Assuming that McConkey and Thomas remain sidelined, he certainly has the ability to fill the gap.

A pass was thrown to #1 but wasn't caught. Feels like PI or something or it bounced off of him. I am old so don't remember exactly.

I thought it was the worst tackiling by our defense all year. Tech RB's seemed to be dragging our tacklers for extra yards after contact.

Our young middle Linebacker while very talented made some mental mistakes in over-pursuing the fake toss to the outside leaving the middle wide open. That has to be corrected!

WHere was our vertical passing game? Can only remember 2-3 throws longer than 15 yards.

Some thoughts looking back on vs GT. Just my humble opinions. Like most all Dawgs fans I was very disappointed with our Dawgs performance with some exceptions. In particular So disappointed with the Defense. But just wanted to repeat what Yall already know. Kirby cant and wont do this but we fans Can. And that is complain about officiating. It was Very slanted against our Dawgs !! Very !! I think one element of the poor performance by our Defense Might have been a fear of being called for targetting. Which would mean missing the first half of the SECCG by any of our players called. The ACC Refs set that type fear early in the game.

They were flagging the Dawgs for anything their minds could come up with, while rarely flagging GT. None of our guys would want to miss playing time based on these bogus Refs !! On Offense we were missing key players, Allot of them !! Also and this is Very important, Faulkner on the O and Sherier as well as the assistants that went with them are Very, Very knowledgeable about Both our Offense and our Defense from an inside the program vantage point. That Had to have helped GT at least some. Plus GT is indeed improved some in their own right. Lastly its a rivalry game that GT gave every ounce of their efforts to. Maybe our Dawgs got caught looking past them some to the SECCG. STILL our Ddawgs beat them yet again and at Their house. I'm not trying to make excuses for our Dawgs just offering thoughts on Why they played subpar.

Looking forward to Bama. I encourage my fellow Dawgs fans to go to Auburn's football site and look at the stats for their game vs. Bama. Auburn ran all over Bama. But they were very poor passing the ball vs. the Tide. Im confident Beck will do Much better !! And Milton, Edwards, Bell, perhaps even Robinson will run effectively against them. I Hope we will have McConkey and RaRa back, I surely do. But even if its just Bowers, it was stated here on DN before he got injured that he accounted for 52% of the Offense !! Now while he was out, others like Lovett in particular have improved significantly. We've all seen that. So if you add Bowers back in there the O should be very potent.

Milroe and Burton are the heart of the Bama Offense. Milroe accounts for most of their rushing and Burton their receiving. Now I know that shutting those two down is easier said than done. But essentially it Is those two that the Dawgs Defense will need to primarily focus on. But Bama will have to defend against Multiple guys on the Dawgs O. And to me thats what will separate our Dawgs from Bama for the win. Go Dawgs !!

It was a day to take what the defense gave us. Running the ball right at them. Kendall looks like the back we have always wanted to see after numerous injuries. As far as Carson, his best throws were the the pass that was ruled incomplete due to a very slight bobble and the td pass called back by a barely downfield SVP. Those were NFL quality throws.

The defense didn't have their best night tackling. Have to give Tech some credit for a strong offensive game plan. Looks like we tried to make them one dimensional and we did, but they ran hard and didn't waiver from their plan. Faulkner called a good game. I know everyone said Kirby stressed the importance of beating Tech, but I can't help but think there was some looking ahead to the SEC.

Dawgs need to have a spy on Milroe at all times. Put Lassiter on Burton at all times. Bama will be tough, but I'm Believing our Dawgs can and will beat them. Gotta play every tick of four qtrs. though !! P.S. I hope the officiating is clean and fair. For both teams. I want our Dawgs to win it hands down no questions asked !! Go Dawgs !!

It is amazing so many have panned the defense, secondary, CB lack of throws..and I agree...but yet...the Dawgs won anyway. Kendall Milton, folks...that guy can bale the hay. Old farm term...lol. Over 150 yds on the ground. Who has done that lately? Loose him on Bama and UGA will put a hurt on their defense...and, yes, that should open up the aisles for CB to throw some homed-in missiles. I feel it in my bones. Our defense needs to trap Milroe and Burton. Yeah, that same WR Burton who transferred from UGA to Bama and was summarily cast as mediocre and who cares? Well, care....he is doing very well at Bama. Milroe's go.-to guy. Need to shadow him and sack Milroe...! The guy can run like a RB. But then Bama will have to stop the Dawgs many offensive weapons. I am banking on Bowers playing and possibly McConkey? RaRa...? UGA has got this game IMO. Auburn ran Bama ragged...so will the Dawgs.

A lot to ask of a freshman, but i think CJ Allen is our best bet to spy Millroe, fastest of our LBs. Don't know if covering Burton, or any of the specific receivers with Lassiter is the best call. i know he'd shut him down, but unlike other opponents, who have really only had ONE GUY as their receiver, i feel Bama is more like us - a bullpen of good pass catchers.

I don't think we have any linebacker fast enough to spy Milroe, so could just be try to make it where he doesn't take off and run or as much, as in try to contain him without overpursuing.

I like where you’re at on those points but milroe throws the best deep ball in cfb
