ATHENS — The Georgia defense knows it has to be better on Saturday against Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe. The electric Alabama quarterback has helped put the Crimson Tide in a position where it can still make the College Football Playoff.

For freshman, they are playing pretty well, but they just dont have the experience. Make it as simple as possible for them. Also, blitz some. Those two things. Keep milrose off balance.

Milroe defense is the key to a UGA victory..;contain him...no problem....don't...big problem. We do not match up well against Bama's strength. Run game. The young UGA lads will have to really be on focus. Auburn was against Bama and gave them fits. You cannot allow Saban to beat you at the end of the game either!!! He is a mastermind.

We will be fine. Georgia will win comfortably. Not a blowout but never in doubt either.

Well. Auburn did basically fumble the game away. Then Bama tried giving it back, but Auburn said nope we're good. Only rushing two? It was 4th and goal from the 31. Bring some pressure and make him either get rid of it quickly (low chance of success for how far they had to go) or make him cross the LOS as a runner (even lower chance). Auburn absolutely gave that game away. There was no masterminding to be found on that field.

I'm pretty sure between Kirby, Schu and Muschamp, UGA would come up with something other than rushing just 2. They will come up with a good game plan against Milroe, but the defense will have to execute. The young linebackers will have to have their best game. Tykee, Javon and Starks need to bring it and help the youngsters out. The offense needs to control the clock and limit Bama's opportunities. I can't wait. Go Dawgs!

Containing Milroe will be a tall order for the Freshmen, but if we can at least slow him down and make him hesitate then that's better than nothing. We've got to try and pressure him, but you can't just go after the guy most of the time and try and tackle him. He's just too elusive. He will squirt out of your hands and run right past you. You also can't rush too far and open up a huge lane for him to throw or run. But my biggest concern is containing the EDGE. We couldn't do it against Tech, and we failed containment against a couple other opponents which led to big gains in those games.

Contain the edge and try and get some occasional pressure on Milroe. Then it will be up to the Red Zone defense to keep them out of the end zone, because I don't think we'll be able to stop them from moving the ball up and down the field. If we can't keep them out of the end zone then Beck and company will just have to use more clock and score more points!

Auburn’s DC must be an idiot. He should have brought heavy pressure with stunts. There’s no way he gets off a thirty yard pass under pressure. Anything short of a TD and the game is over. Horrible way to lose a game you had in the bag.

I believe MIZZOU has a better offense than Bama and even though we had JDJ starting that game the scheme will be similar for Milroe.

Put Arian Smith in to spy on Milroe. Speed kills.

Comparing this game to others where Georgia struggled against the run isn't quite apples to apples. Auburn, Missouri and Tech all utilized designed runs for their quarterbacks, which isn't really Bama's style with Milroe. He's more of an improviser when the play inevitably breaks down because his offensive line can't protect him.

It's still an issue that needs to be addressed, and that probably won't be done easily. But I don't think we need to look at past games this year and necessarily worry about repeat performances. Also, I recently heard that Bama is something like 44th in the country in rushing, which is noticeably behind those other teams we've played. And that's when their top RB is healthy. So, this is absolutely an opponent to take seriously. But they definitely can be had by an above average defense. Believe it or not, Georgia does still have one of those.

I thought you were going to say comparing playing those teams to playing Alabama is absurd. There might be vague similarities in style, but playing Bama is playing a game of King of the Mountain. They won’t be hesitant, or have self-doubts. They won’t have depth disparity in the 4th quarter. We gotta bring it like winning every moment is our mission in life. This is gut check time and everybody knows it. You don’t out scheme Bama. You out punch ‘em.

MAke MIlroe get the ball out of his hands. THe longer he can hold the ball he gets to improvise. Take your chances with him passing better than Carson BEck. If he beats you that way I can live with that! Auburn did that mostly except for the last play. Auburn didn't make him get the ball out of his hands until he was ready and saw a one on one match up with his best receiver. Lesson learned.
