    @ Navydawg

    God be with you Brother, enjoy the one thing you can still do and enjoy it. Until people have walked in your shoes they sometime don't understand, yes the world has changed, lot of folks like us understand sacrifice and commitment. Sadly there are a lot that don't. Trust me, there are a lot of us out there, they call us the silent majority, so long as we're here and faith is present we are in good hands.

    Thank you and every other Veteran and their families for the sacrifices you've made. I know it's off topic so that's all I'm going to say. Have peace navydawg and others in your situation.

    Back on topic, Go Dawgs!

    Ok people, I understand freedom of expression, but if you vote down that they can’t beat Georgia without help from the refs, you must be a troll fan of some other sorry school or don’t know the facts. I know Georgia played awful, but a game shouldn’t be decided by the zebras, only the players on the field. Go Dawgs!

    And this group of playoff committee members should all be fired for not following the guidelines and rules. 4 best teams? Please. Not even close. If any fsu fans are on this sight, you can blame the refs from our game as another reason they were left out. If Georgia had won, fsu probably would have gotten in because the Texas win over that team to our west would not look as good.

    The game was a very even game in terms of all the stats-total yards, time of possession, 1st downs etc.

    The game basically swung on a few key plays not made . THe penalty that backed the FG try up 5 yards. We couldnt cover the weheel route by our young LB. THe 3rd and 1 we couldn't convert by running Dajon. The fumbled exchange by BEck and Bell, a false start by Brock Bowers and of course the incomplete pass by BAMA that was ruled a catch that the Replay Booth couldn't be bothered by to review! And then we couldn't contain Milroe the last possession of the game.

    Bobo came out guns blazing with 4-4 passing for 57 yards the first drive. THe next possession it was 0-3 passing and punt. The next possession was 3 straight runs and punt. Very imaginative,right.

    The next possession was going splendidly with CB running for 8 yards for a 1st down to the Bama 19 after CB had gone 3-4 passing for 31 yards. Here is where Bobo went back to default mode when we had them reeling, 2 straight runs by Milton for 0 yards! How many time did we see this all year that stopped good drives when we had been passing it? Now it's 3rd and 10 and BEck gets sacked. Then the false start on a FG try? Seriously?

    We spent over 7 minutes on the clock and came away with nothing! Ouch!

    Our RB's averaged less than 2 yards per carry if you take out the one MIlton run for 16 on the first drive. A smidgen over 2 yards if you factor it in. Our passing game averaged 10+ yards per completion. We ran the ball 29 times by design and threw it 29 times! BAlanced yay!

    Without the misques and the bad call by the ref perhaps we find a way to win.

    I said days ago we wouldn't beat Bama by playing bully ball running it. Our best bet was CB throwing it around. We needed less mistakes and about 6-7 more Beck pass completions and 5-6 fewer runs. IF Beck goes 27-37 for 310, we win. He wasn't given a chance.

    He was supposed to be a top 5 or 6 Heisman finalist but he didn't even get to have 30 attempts. Shame.

    @Connor Riley

    So Mike Bobo is a "loser"???........let me guess, he should have called for a pass when we ran and ran the ball when we passed.

    Is that about right??

    If so:

    1) what defense was Bama in on those occasions?

    2) what was the offensive game plan going into the game & did it change when Mims went out?

    3) did Bobo call those plays, did Beck call them, did Beck audible out of them??

    4) Did the receiver situation affect the play calling??

    All basic questions you should know the answers to before you label someone a "loser".

    From my seat, plays work when they are executed......and all plays do not work. Pretty sure you got most of this right when you said this;

    "Georgia lost on Saturday for a number of reasons. It couldn’t get stops late. It couldn’t score early. It couldn’t block Alabama and the Bulldogs couldn’t get open downfield."

    It's a LOS game, sometimes the ball doesn't bounce your way, sometimes the man lining up across from you is just better, sometimes you need a little luck and sometimes the better team wins that day/night.

    Labeling Bobo a "loser" is just a lazy narrative. You should at least know what you are talking about if you do.....if you do indeed know what you are talking about, answer the questions above.

    Pretty **** good run.....29 & 0, 45 of the last 46 and two national championships. Proud of the dawgs and staff win or lose, they all fought for 60 minutes. They are no losers here, but labeling Mike Bobo one makes you certainly look like one to these eyes.

    I never labled anyone a loser. Maybe you're a loser for trying to say somebody said something they didn't say. Everthing I said was true, tell me where I'm wrong instead of trying to put words in my mouth.

    First, Bama didn't beat us; we beat ourselves, by just a few mistakes mostly mentioned all over the place - fumble, penalty, a busted coverage, and one i'll cover more later - specific defensive coaching. Second, Bama had to play, easily, their best game of the year while our game was mediocre. (sound familiar, osu last year). Third, as someone alluded to below about Bama's pass defense. They started the game with zone on the back and we tore them up. I mentioned to my sons (who i'm always texting during games) if they stick with zone, we'll tear them up; they didn't and we didn't. Finally, from a frustration point of view, i got to reminiscing about Kirby's tenure and wondered "how many of the 15 losses came from just a couple simple mistakes, be they by player, coach, or ref that altered the course (not always result directly) of the game." Player - a dropped pass on the first offensive play in SECCG vs LSU or a fumble on the ten yard line allowing a short field for the opponent. Coach - not putting Lorenzo Carter in deep coverage on a Hail Mary from Tenn or not knowing that Milroe was gonna run every play on Bama's game killing drive. (again i texted that to my sons; not gonna risk turnover). I would have loved getting a stop and watching Carson take us down the field to a potential game winning score. Ref - calling offside on a blocked punt or not reviewing a fourth down catch. I'm not saying these types of mistakes cost us a game, but they shouldn't occur, and the course of the games would have been different. Sometimes the opponent (team or player) is just better, but that wasn't the case Saturday.

    SEC and Josh Brooks (UGAA) are losers for pulling the Oklahoma game AND then replacing it with such a lame replacement - to go along with the many other lame games we had on the schedule this year. Required us to be perfect this year through the SEC championship. The lame games won't matter as much in a 12 game playoff, and, the 12 game playoff should allow scheduling better opponents because you can weather 2 (maybe 3) loses and still make the 12 game playoff.

    I respect Bobo, but I’m on the fence about him as OC. My 85-year-old mother, who has been a Dawg fan since before I was born, asked me on Saturday, “Why are they still trying to run between the tackles?”. I replied, “You, me, and everyone else is wondering the same thing”. She replied, “Well, Coach Kirby should know better than that by now, he better tighten up”. Got to love it folks!

    Go Dawgs!

    The strength of the offense all year was a maturing QB in Carson Beck. I don't understand why they took the ball out of his hands during the game. Why we did not throw the ball more? I just feel UGA did not play its best ball on Saturday and that is a a shame because I think UGA is better than all 4 playing for the title.

    @reddawg1 I don't think @Eastmandawg was talking about you there, I think he meant Conor, who wrote the piece? I mean, I'm speaking for him, but I don't think that was directed at you, based on what he said in it. And I do think what you wrote is very true. It made a difference. Many folks have made good points here, but I do want to point out one thing with regard to the big miss by the replay officials. It was an egregiously missed call. No doubt about that, But, and this is a noteworthy "but," the play BEFORE that Alabama faced a 3rd and 21 and we allowed them to complete a pass for 17 yards. That, in turn, allowed Saban to even think about going for it on fourth down. If we break up that pass, or even keep the completion to say, 8-10 yards, Bama is very likely punting. Again, this does not excuse or absolve the referees for blowing the fourth down call. It's just to show that had UGA done a better job of playing defense, that call would have never been an issue.

    After the first drive, two major things happened. One, Mims got hurt. Two, Alabama started playing high cover so Bowers and the other WR's wouldn't beat them. When a defense plays high cover, the offensive adjustment is to run the ball. The problem was Alabama's front 4 whipped our OL and stopped the run. When our offense can't run, you lose the play action passing game which is our bread and butter. Bobo didn't get out coached our OL got beat in 1:1 match ups. Credit Alabama.

    The Committee had to pick 4 teams. There were 6 or so teams that could have been considered. But they had 4 spots this year. Bama proved that it was one of the top teams by the way it played especially at the end of the season. They did what they had to do to win albeit with providence. We (Dawgs) cannot complain, as we had shown inconsistency throughout the season (granted our best two games being against the Vols and Rebels) but we had an **** win at Tech and then fizzled in Atlanta. Our strength of schedule was also suspect. The folks that were hard done by was FSU. Their defence won the ACC championship for them. But clearly their offence is struggling without their best QB. Texas performed well at the end, 12-1 record for anyone no small feat. Apparently the "Committee" thought that FSU's performance against the top teams without their starting QB would be affected so much so that it was better to select a team that did not have that severe loss at that critical position. It is one thing to be down a player in another position, however with your starting QB out, that changes the whole offensive dynamic. You still have to hate it for FSU as they showed great courage and ability in winning the ACC championship. The Georgia - FSU game should be interesting. If Alabama's defence was able to stymie us like they did, imagine what FSU's might do. But may the Dawgs begin a new series and chapter and make it past 29 this time. Even though we lost, the Dawgs 12-1 record speaks for itself. This was another "elite" team.
