Isn't D. Edwards a senior anyway? Why does Mike say he's "expected to leave UGA for the NFL draft"? If he's a senior, he's gone.

I think it will be harder and harder for any college program to "do it" the old fashioned way moving forward unless the NCAA tries to stuff the Genie back into the bottle some how. Now UGA will certainly try to "do it" the the old fashioned way moreso than others but when you are down to a couple of incoming guys and a couple of previously injured guys at RB, you just may have to go outside your druthers.

I'm all for finding the next Schrader from some small school. That guy's a beast.

Pretty pointless to complain about the game today. It's basically professional minor leagues and that genie won't be put back in any bottle for sure. Can't blame the players. They're all trying to get to the NFL and if they happen to flame out or get injured, at least they got some cash and perhaps a degree.

Referring to not getting short yardage against Alabama, I think that falls more on the shoulders of the offensive line rather than the running backs. Etienne would be a great get though! Go Dawgs!

    1) With the recruits that are coming in, it won't matter if he's gone after one year. As someone else pointed out, he would be the perfect player to bring in for this one year while the established guys return to form and the freshman get their feet under them.

    2) Even if someone does end up leaving, who says it would have to be Frazier? Seems like an arbitrary assumption. Also, your first point really works against this one.

    3) There's been no indication that Etienne is just out for a bag. Every report I've seen on this says his motivation is to play for a championship contender.

I think Edwards still has a year of eligibility, so depending on the circumstances, he could conceivably return. I give McConkey 50/50. I cannot at all picture Milton staying. And Bowers? Forget about it. Won two championships, the Mackey Award twice, is projected to go in the top 10 and is coming off an ankle injury. You're more likely to see me suiting up for the Dawgs next year than Bowers.

So far UGA's NIL strategy has been pretty conservative. That explains why the State of GA's best HS players don't go to UGA. UGA made Mims a counter to keep what should have been a franchise OT. UGA is digging for CBeck to return as there was no one ready at QB to play championship caliber QB.

Breakout at RB? Rabid fans swore pre-'23 that was BRob. (Dislocated kneecap but no ligament tears) If anything UGA proved this year it could win up to and including the SECCG with a good but not great RB rotation. Remember Cash Jones? I don't see much difference in 0, 3 and 22 vs 2 and 30. Add in Frazier as the change of pace and homerun threat and does ETN give you anything you don't already have? At 5'9" 200 lbs he'd be the smallest RB on the team. No need to change the culture of earning it here and it will pay off. No need to spend big bucks on speculation.

What do you think the current RB's/commits say if UGA gives a boatload of $$$ to ETN? If ETN is looking for immediate $$$ he is not coming to UGA. Not the UGA culture and not the way CKS has done it. Reality football and fantasy football are 2 completely different things.

FYI, one of the top (if not THE top) RB's in the '25 class is/was Nate Frazier's teammate in CA. 5* #11 overall (Rivals) Jordan Davison. Friends who enjoyed a RB rotation in HS. A happy Frazier would be a great recruiter for his friend.

Whoa there Trigger! Not sure where your impassioned response is coming from, but it mostly ain’t in response to what I said! 😂

Not sure but I think everyone eligible during Covid got an extra year. Like Bo Nix played 5 FULL years. 3 at Awburn and 2 at Orogoon.

Right! My mistake, but I was pretty sure of the extra year for Edwards, but wrong reason 🫤😁

Rusty Manzell says we need a RB.

Ummmmm, what...? Perhaps I'm missing the point. I don't think football is @#$&... love it even with the craziness (in every way) of 2023! 😁🤙
