- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.
No more open disagreements.
I've been a dawg fan since I was 8 years old, 56 years. I've been a fan of Dawgnation for a good while now. Recently, I was on the chat during the show (DawgNation Chat, not YouTube or others). However I found expressing my views as a realist instead of pie in the shy pipe dreams was met with hostility. And then as someone blasted me for not supporting Alabama in lieu of Michigan, I guess I was labeled a turncoat. Sorry, but I don't have a loyalty to a conference, only to my Dawgs. I consider Alabama my mortal enemy (not literally of course). Any time Alabama is beat is perty time in my house. I was continually blasted to the point that eventually the discussion led to everyone asking that I be blocked, and even Brandon asked if someone could be blocked. Not because of profanity or slander, but just because of my view in this area. Noting that one person blasting me felt the same way towards Florida as I did towards Alabama. I thought we could discuss things openly and fairly without resulting in calling someone a troll or having them blocked just because maybe a majority doesn't agree with them. I'm not sure if I was blocked or not, but just the fact that it was called for and supported by the host of DawgNation has really left me searching for another Georgia Bulldogs site where I can hopefully post my views without being pummeled. Thank you and GO DAWGS!.

Wear it like a badge of honor.
I dared critisicsm of Jake Fromm back in the day and boy you wouldn't believe the hostility I got from that one. Like you I speak my mind and sometimes that goes against the flow. Certain amount of groupthink takes hold around here like any Internet forum. When you go against that especially when it's something the group doesn't want to hear anyway they are gonna push back hard.
Anyone here is here because they are a passionate UGA football fan. So let that passion flow. I do. If not here where??? We can disagree but we all want the same thing. Georgia Football to be on top.
I will say this. Seems to be a more open place than back then. And the mods do seem to do a good job.
And I agree with you. Alabama losing is better for Georgia
So I want Alabama to lose.
You think that’s bad you should’ve tried rooting for Stetson Bennett…he ranked just below Florida to some
You should have tried being critical of Stetson at all. About anything
To most he did and still does walk on water.
The myth making and hero worship with Bennett didn't reach Fromm levels. Which is kind of crazy because Stetson was better than Fromm. But it was pretty close.
He’s a walk on for sure and does have two championships too. If you want to critique that go right ahead.
Unfortunately you are going to get pummeled by someone for having a different viewpoint on any forum of any discussion. It's a very sad state of affairs these days.
We live in a world of snowflakes that cannot handle a viewpoint different than their on. I read a poll of Harvard students yesterday. One question was, is it okay to shout down someone if you don't like what they are saying. 70% said yes. Kind of sums up today's times.
Well said swilk!
and I can assure you, @ZiggyStardust , that I and others on this forum would agree that we all have not always agreed with Mr. swilk or others who share their opinions, but he and many others on this forum do make for good banter and camaraderie due to their forthright candor. Always enjoyable!
Banning and downvoting really has no place here (well, unless the rules are not followed.....😎)! And as swilk said, the mods do a great job keeping things in line.....
I have been here for two and a half years now and, as swilk might say (and has said to me🤣) that i may be a Disney Dawg, but many posters on this forum including swilk, with the information and opinions that they have posted, have given me pause to reflect many times and have given me a wider perspective on all things Dawg! Probably a much better fan as a result!
I would say that having been a Dawg Fan since 1976, I have enjoyed this Dawg run and this forum immensely! So give us a try.....you might stay here.....many of us have!
And to my many friends herein, much thanks!
Edited: well, shoot........trying to bring a fellow Dawg fan off the ledge and downvoting has already occurred, oh well...🤣
@ZiggyStardust hang around here for a while, we will grow on you.and I love the handle by the way! Welcome!
David Bowie, right!?
different music for a different time......
Ziggy stardust and the spiders from mars..
Kind of like bud light? It’s not just college kids. A lot of folks of all ages can get pretty sensitive at times.
I don’t have loyalty to the SEC either. Especially since an undefeated FSU team got shafted because Bama CAN’T be left out. I want Bama to lose every game. If Auburn could make that play (or if the refs had the stones to throw a flag for assault and battery on the Bama O line) this wouldn’t be a discussion. They’ve had a Golden Horseshoe stuck where the sun don’t shine forever. It’s the smug, entitled fans that act like being a Bammer fan means they are somehow better than everyone else. Anyone that knows the SEC knows if the scenario was reversed, and Georgia was the one loss champion, Bama and UGA would both get in, and FSU would still draw the short stick. The SEC is the tail wagging the dog. No pun intended .
I disagree with everything you said
