GOAT…….. always respected him and his teams. Folks speculating about why he retired? He’s 71 years old wants to enjoy his wife and family. Who in their right mind wants to still be working in their 70’s.
Most definitely there will be starters in the portal after Saban leaves. Most recruits came there for Saban and to get to the NFL. He is gone now and they will go to others programs. Are we the beneficiary of that? I think so, with some.
I believe they can hit it tomorrow as there is a provision if your coach changes.
Yep. Agree. That’s my hope is Dawgs reel in some great players from there. I just kind of wonder if they hire an exciting and popular coach etc. Would the Dawgs Lose some of our players to them ? My humble opinion is we stand to Gain much more than we would be prone to Lose. Just my Hope and opinions.
P.S. Wouldn’t it be great if Haynes left and came to UGA ??!!?? He’s a very powerful RB. Allot of the Bama fans were talking about they got away from using him far to quick in the Playoff game. Many of them feel they would have won that game if they had given him more carries. UGA recruited him hard, and as you know his Daddy played at UGA. We’ll see……
Wow !!! I wasn’t aware of that !!! Thx Bro. !!!
Justice Haynes for my early B-Day gift ??!!?? Young man runs with authority just like his Daddy !! Don’t know how interested he’d be. Don’t know if Kirby/Bobo would be interested in him as they might feel the RB room is set. And the Dawgs DO already have allot of fire power there. I took the liberty of copying & pasting his 2023 Freshman Stats just in case he Were to come to UGA.

Ooook make that I Tried to copy & paste it !! 😂 Anywho if you’d like take a look at his stats on their page. You can’t make anything out of this gibberish I posted.
I think it will probably be Butch Jones since the way he and Nick think are identical
@Brooksie Not that I thought you were wrong or stretching it but I checked into it and you are absolutely right:
Whenever there's a head-coaching change — a firing, retirement, or if a head coach leaves for another job — players at that school get a 30-day window to freely enter the transfer portal."1 hour ago

Nick Saban's Retirement Opens 30-Day Transfer Window for ...

You are so right, Goff succeeded Dooley and it took a long time to get over that. Goff was a good guy but a terrible head coach.
Replacing Saban won’t be easy. I would go hard after Dan Lanning. He’s a heck of a coach and a very good recruiter. Don’t know how good Dan would be in Aflac commercials though.
Saban was good but Bear Bryant was the GOAT. That being said he will be hard to replace both for Alabama and the SEC.
Lane Kiffin = new Bama head coach.
Here’s a poll from a Bama site. They all said No Way Kirby leaves UGA as it’s his alms mater so he’s on there but no votes:
Lanning
Kiffin
Sark
Smart
Belichick
Demeco Ryans
Someone Else??
Got to hand it to Saba to **** the wind out of Michigan’s championship celebration. After this news, no one will remember that UM won anything this week.
Oh goodness yes !! Goff loved UGA and was a great person and really a DGD. Terrible HC though. Those were terrible times to be a Dawgs fan. Getting spanked by GT, KY and even Vandy !! Bad !! 😥
SEC Refs will miss Saban. 😂 But probably not I’m sure Bama will keep his legacy alive some how. Guess he’ll join Spurrier on the golf course now !!
Wow !!! I hadn’t thought about it like that but your right !!
