Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Student tragedies at UGA
This has been a rough week in Athens. Yesterday, a young man, a resident at Brumby I believe, took his own life and today, a female student who was jogging at Lake Herrick failed to return to her residence. The police found her body, with visible injuries, at the Lake a few hours later.
I know I used to get angry with my daughter because she used to run alone at Herrick. This is just so wrong and so sad on every level.
Please keep these students and their families in your thoughts and prayers.

So sad. RIP, Prayers 🙏🏼 up for their families and friends.
🙏
so terrible
Fox news reported that they have identified a person of interest who is being questioned, and that an arrest might be forthcoming soon.
I pray in the name of Jesus Christ for mercy and comfort for her family and friends Amen. 🙏🏼😎
When did men start staying in Brumby (as legal residents)?
The young man who committed suicide at Brumby was a freshman.
3 men have been taken into custody, all from the Argo Apartments on South Milledge at Macon Hwy. If you know where that is, the back of the apartments butt right up to the backside of Herrick, by the pond, where they found her.
I knew yesterday the name of the young lady who was killed. When my daughter was a sophomore and a small group leader for Wesley, Laken Riley was in her group. This has been an awful wake-up call and my daughter is still very much in shock. This will mark the end of her sense of invulnerability.
I truly hope those arrested are found to be the ones culpable. Laken's parents and family deserve justice.
Prayers to all families and friends in both cases.
How horrible. I’m sorry especially for your daughter. Wesley was a wonderful experience for me at UGA and I know how close the students involved become.
Yeah, I just didn't even know men could stay there (legally).
Absolutely. Didn't realize Brumby had gone co-ed. I graduated 20+ years ago though.
Jose Antonio Ibarra, 26.....NOT a US citizen.
The "evidence is robust" including key input from the community, physical evidence, and video footage from campus security cameras.
The police and the GBI working around the clock to make this arrest. Thanks to them.
Not to take away from the discussion and seriousness of this, but I graduated 40 years ago this year. I myself, spent more than a few nights in Brumby and even took a few showers there......when it was "downtime"...
That's why I asked when men "legally" became residents of Brumby. Most straight dudes spent a night or two there in college, and probably some gay guys too.
