Ladd McConkey ready to roll at Georgia Pro Day, Brock Bowers expected to delay drill work
ATHENS — Georgia superman Brock Bowers may not be ready to don his cape at Pro Day, but there’s plenty of other talent making the trip worthwhile for 32 NFL teams.

So this begs the question. Who will be throwing during pro day? Stockton?
i was thinking the same thing. Sort of left hanging there, weren’t we?
From the article:
"Receiver Ladd McConkey, however, is expected to be full speed while running routes and catching passes from UGA quarterback Gunner Stockton."
Add the Steelers to the list of teams likely to grab a WR in the first round. They have ditched the guys who they listed as their #1 and #2 WRs on their opening day depth chart (Pickens was #3):
On their latest unofficial depth chart Pickens is the new #1 and has been promoted from slot to X. I am thinking that the Steelers will go with a 2 TE offense as teams don't use a top 100 pick on a backup TE in today's NFL, so put Darnell Washington in Pickens' old Z spot. However, they still need another guy. Not saying that the Steelers will grab McConkey, even though he is very similar to Johnson (a bit heavier and taller though a lot faster as McConkey ran a 4.39 where Johnson ran a 4.53). Instead, even if the Steelers decide to go with another big WR like AD Mitchell, Rome Odunze or Brian Thomas (all 6'3" and at least 205 lbs) that will make it more likely that the Cowboys, Packers, Cardinals, Bills, Ravens or Chiefs grabs McConkey. In other words, the Steelers trading their starting WR to a team that lacks a first round pick (Carolina) makes it that much more likely that 6 WRs go in the first round.
The same is true of Denver, who traded starting WR Jerry Jeudy to another team that lacks a #1 pick (Cleveland). If Sean Payton doesn't draft a QB then they will absolutely take a WR at #12. Again it won't be McConkey, but it guarantees at least that both Harrison and Nabers will be offt he board early, and creates a real possibility that the top 3 WRs - whether your #3 is Thomas or Odunze - will be. Bottom line: it is looking ever more likely that there are going to be 6 WRs taken in first round, which is very good for McConkey's chances.
