Places to eat at the Battery?
I’m going to my first game at Truist Park, and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations about a great place to eat near the park.
Comments
Superica, Antico Pizza…those are two top of mind walking distance to the stadium.
I like Antico’d pizza and ice cream
Last year we went to C. Ellet's at the Battery. Don't do it. Way overpriced and not very good.
Thanks for the responses. The Battery was already very busy when I arrived with many places having long wait times. The area is really cool though, lots to do. We got a table at the Punch Bowl Social. They were busy but the service was very good. Not much on the menu, but I do highly recommend their grilled chicken sandwich, it was awesome!
And hey, the Braves won 5-0! I got to see some fireworks in the first with Ozuna hitting a 3 run dinger and Arcia following with a solo shot! Ozuna hit another solo shot in the third, and came very close again in a later at bat.
Good pitching and good defense shutting out the Sox. I think it was Riley that fielded a well hit ball with his throwing hand while on the run and throwing out the batter in a very close play. It was truly a gold glove play! If you missed it I’m positive it will be a sportcenter highlight.
Agree on all, except the ESPN part. If it is not New York or California teams, then highlights will not be shown.
When the Braves beat a good team, it gets 30 seconds of coverage. When the Dodgers blew the Braves out last weekend, it was covered 3 different times in a 1 hr block, and had 3 of the top 10 highlights.
Yeah, you make a good point. I haven’t watched Sportscenter, but you are likely right. Oh well, it’s was a great play by Riley and it deserves recognition.
Things like what you mentioned is a big reason I haven’t enjoyed or watched too much ESPN in awhile. I will certainly still tune in for games I’m interested in, but their coverage isn’t what it once was and neither are their Broadcast teams in my opinion.
