what about transfer #9. Charlie Ham. Sure he will be there in a couple of weeks, but not a mention of him from the Dawgnation writers

I understand why he transferred out with UGA'S stacked running back room, but I thought he would go to a better football program and better competition. Head scratcher.

I'm not understanding this at ALL. You leave UGA for Jacksonville State!!!! It's not like you were getting over looked. He was going into the fall with momentum. There must have been something behind the scenes that was said. To us on the outside looking in... there was opportunities for him this season.

Paul still has 3 seasons of eligibility remaining at Georgia? How is that true if he transferred?

? No matter who he plays for this fall he is a RS So thus 3 more seasons of eligibility.

Jacksonville St is a very curious choice. Sounds like he chose a situation where he will be RB1 and get most of the carries (showcased). But that will be against inferior competition and put additional and unnecessary wear and tear on his body. He will earn every yard behind an inferior OL. Jax St certainly can't have much NIL to throw around.

I maintain that staying at UGA and running behind the UGA OL as RB1/2/3 (depending on injuries) was the smart play for AP this season. That scenario produces the best tape vs better competition. AP must have an eye on going pro after this season. Expect AP to run well now that he is 2 years into his knee rehab.

AP leaving means UGA will need to get something out of all 3 freshmen RB's. Bowens mop up carries in garbage time (a la DEdwards early career). Phillips gadget packages and relief for ETN. Frazier RB2/3 (based on injuries), rotational RB from game 1 and 3rd down RB2.

maybe his hs sweetheart is at Jax. But really guessing he wants to be at Texas A/M. So this is just a quick one and done before he transfers t for his final push. And who knows, maybe some Texas NIL is still involved.

One year and then off to another Power Four team. My thought, too.

Paul can strut his stuff as the featured back at Jax State. Look what Marcus Carroll did at GSU: He ran for 1,350 yards and now he's No. 1 on the depth chart at what some rank the No. 7 team in the country.

At Georgia, he was No. 3 or 4 on the depth chart, with three good-looking freshmen nipping at his heels.

The only drawback, of course, is wear-and-tear and the potential for injury. RB is a tough haul nowadays.

I realize he has 3 years of eligibility left, but not at UGA, as it states in the article.

Wow, not a single taker from P5 (or whatever it is now)? Very surprising.

Looking over the portal rundown, there are several names that I'd either completely forgotten or never knew had gone in the portal. Still others whose destinations came as a surprise. So hard to keep track nowadays.

He’s too good to not go to a big time program. I hated to see him leave. He’s a very good back. This move is puzzling.
