Netflix review: Blue Mountain State
I like a good football show. Pretty much like all of them….FNL, Any Given Sunday, The Program, The Replacements, Remember the Titans, The Waterboy, Varsity Blues, Rudy….
Blue Mountain State is not this. It's awful. Yeah, I know it's a comedy, but I made it about 15 minutes into the first episode and gave up. The writers and directors clearly have no idea about college, sports, or human interaction. It's just a collection of the worst college life and football cliches imaginable. Just embarrassingly dumb. Don't waste your time. Yes, its about a college football team….but it's just bad.

We have the worst luck with Netflix movies. Maybe their shows are better.
The latest disappointment: Madame Web. A superhero rip off. Imdb gives it a 3.9 rating out of 10. And the featured review gives it a 2.0 out of 10.
Tricked again. They sucker you in with "most watched" or "top ten".
Don't fall for it.

I enjoyed BMS. It is not a typical college football movie concept. It is meant to be slapstick. Think trailer park boys or letter Kenny. They don't even show a football game until season 3.
