UGA began the season as the 4th ranked team in the nation. Against UCLA, they showed up. They'd have done better if Liberty had won. They would have saved money, time, and face.

can someone explain how UGA has played 10 more games than UCLA?

Blawless, this was a money maker plus the national exposure for the program and now upgraded facilities to show to recruits.

Your comments only prove you’re a troll or an idiot.

    I would think probably both.

National TV exposure is absolutely a must. 3 consecutive seasons of reaching the Supers under Coach Tony, and the WCWS his first year. The new facilities are huge. And BTW, ucla's facilities were kinda pathetic in comparison. A program with that much history and success and with that kind of money in LA, has no excuses for having not upgraded anything in YEARS.

Blawless' attitude is sorta Florida State-like.

In the Clearwater Invitational, ucla played 2 games and UGA, 4. +2

In the Bulldog Classic March 8-10, UGA played 5 games, ucla opened conference and played 3. +2

The weekend of March 16th, UGA opened conference against Bama and played 3 games, ucla played LMU for 2. +1

End of March, ucla's conference series vs Oregon, 1 game was canceled. +1

Mid-April, ucla's conference series vs kal, 2 games were canceled. +2

ucla played 3 games in their regional, UGA played 5. +2

ucla had no mid-week game on 3 occasions; early April, mid-April, and late March. +3

As you can see that's actually 13 but there were a few weekends where ucla played a game more than uga. The season goes for 4 months so most teams have around 50-60 games. A 10-game delta isn't that unusual although it does give pitchers more rest.

Not sure what happened the last 4-5 weeks. The bats went cold. Two player w/20 HR's and only put one across the plate in Cali. Tail of two seasons….but it happens in sports.

Great season. Making it to the next round would have been nice, but no shame losing to a quality team like UCLA.

Outscored 28-4 the last two years in the Supers. 28 to 4. Zero wins. That's why I'm frustrated.
