Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

National BBQ DAY
Yep, here it is again, only one year later than the last one. What's your favorite? What do you like/dislike in the BBQ arena. And remember, grilling ain't BBQ. Sorry, Cali.
Comments
The only real BBQ is Texas BBQ.
While I love good brisket, it's hard to top pulled pork done right 👍 , well unless there are ribs ..so conflicted!
Life often presents us with choices that are difficult/nearly impossible. But….remember, "and" is often a better choice than "or".
Agreed, I've got to give the Boston Butt its due as its of my all time favorite cuts. So much one can do with it from smoker, to grill, to slow cooker. And of course among the many choices of meat available its almost always a great value.
so you're taking your guns to town? 😁
The voice of reason crying out in the desert!
Guess I don't get the reference. Don't have guns, but am very good with them.
No worries, it was a reference to a Johnny Cash song all in fun.
Pulled pork, sliced light bread, Brunswick stew, and spicy/sweet pickles. All that is good in the universe. Extra points awarded to a place that has a dozen out-of-date local high school football team calendars on the wall.
if you are ever in the Anderson, SC area, “Smoking Pig” has three locations. Brisket is my favorite cut but their jalapeño cheese grits are awesome.
Are you out of your mind? Brisket ain't BBQ. If it ain't pork don't put BBQ sauce on it.
I agree!
Our local pizza place, not a chain, has been THE local team sports (all sports, all ages) locale for over 20 years. They have posters, calendars, banners, etc going back to the beginning. They also have paraphernalia from most of the SEC teams….including a UGA softball banner, signed by team #27.
The fact that you think Texas BBQ is only brisket speaks volumes
Seems like brisket is what they brag about the most. Maybe it's stress bragging?
It ain’t bragging if you can do it! 🤣💯👍
