22 personnel interests me. Hmm. Trying to remember last time we went 22.

With our talent versatility will be the name of the game…..like playing 5 card stud and having a couple of personal decks to draw from…..I'm liking the 22 with 2RB's, 2TE's, and 1 WR's either RB is a receiver/safety valve out of the backfield, TE's over the middle and the WR's speeding down field…..besides versatility the only other reality will be The Dawgs predictability……every snap we are The Hunters!

Guess Beck knows more about football than those commenting. Google 22 personnel in football and the definition is exactly as he stated. A formation the indicates a possible running play with two TEs and two running backs.

22 personnel means that there are two running backs, two tight ends, and one receiver on the field. With bigger offensive players on the field and a more run-focused personnel grouping, defenses are likely to match with big personnel themselves. 22 personnel is often used in short-yardage situations. The two tight ends can offer mismatches either in run blocking or on passes against the bigger linebackers that the defense brings in.
