Greg Sankey believed one of the teams in his conference should have been in the College Football Playoff. The SEC commissioner said as much while on an appearance on 1010XL in Jacksonville, Fla.

    Now if he had gone on to say UGA should have gotten in over UT who played a fluffy Big 12 schedule and got beat by a team that played a fluffy PAC team then I would be impressed. Too little and too late.

    what’s going to happen this year when 5 or 6 SEC teams make the CFP and at least one additional team was left off because of cupcake schedules from other conferences.

    Even if FSU’s starters had played, Georgia still would have beaten them by at least 30 points. However, if a non catch had been reviewed in the sec championship game, we’re having a completely different conversation.

    I try not to complain about officiating even when it's atrocious, but that miss call and the even worse decision not to review it doesn't get talked about enough. That play changed the complexion and outcome of the game by keeping that Al drive alive which lead to a TD.
