Bill Murray in Larger Than Life.
Many great ones, must add Drop Dead Gorgeous.
Gotta include something with Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon. Odd Couple? The Pink Panther movies are classic. Arthur was funny in a sweet way. Another is out on the edge of my mind from the late '70s that played off of being a new "old" movie. Seems like it was out around the time of Blazing Saddles.
Young Frankenstein. My favorite.
Fronkensteen: "My what knockers!"
Inga: "Oh, thank you, Doktor!"
Best sight gag in any movie ever!
Silent Movie, that's the new "old" movie I was trying to remember.
My favorite scene is the Abbie Normal scene.
Whose brain did I put in?
Abbie Someone
Abbie Someone? Abbie who?
Abbie Normal.
Abbie Normal……..
Are you telling me….I put an abnormal brain…..in a 54" wide 7 and a half foot tall…..Gorilla!!!!!
Gene Wilder thought of this movie while they were filming Blazing Saddles. He thought wouldn't it be funny to make a movie about the grandson of Frankenstein and how weird it would be living with that legacy. Movie magic it doesn't get much better than that movie. Doing it in black in white was a big fight too the studio didn't want that. But it wouldn't be the same in color.
PUT ze candle bach
I have arrived! A down vote for my German accent from Young Frankenstein. lol.
It goes on and on…..
Frau Blucher (Neigh)
"He vas my boyfriend!"
The "dart" scene
Inga's "roll, roll, roll in the hay"
EVERY scene that Madelyn Kahn is in!!
The first scene with in the class room and the "experiments"!
Just priceless!!
Okay, here’s my two cents worth:
#1 - Midnight Run
#2 - Liar Liar
#3 - Dumb and Dumber
#4 - The Blues Brothers
#5 - Animal House
However, (for me) Midnight Run had me laughing almost throughout the entire length of the movie, and I would have to say that it is my favorite of all of them. GO DAWGS!!!
GO DAWGS!!!
opening English class scene:
“Okay, does anyone know any English?”
“Son of beech! Sheet!” (Everyone repeats in loud voice).
Bill Murray is one of those actors that is just plain funny no matter what he says or does.
“Hey! Where do these stairs go?”
Murray - “they go up.”
