First off, you guys need to chill a bit. This article is stating mostly facts about who's starting, who is not starting, and the injuries and questions surrounding it going into the Clemson game. I don't see Mike as being all doom and gloom, but we do have some key guys that will be out due to injury. Jordan Hall being a BIG one. We've also got some inexperienced guys stepping in to replace elite veteran players. That won't be easy.

Carson won't have Ladd and Brock, and if you will remember correctly and think about it, had those (2) guys been anywhere close to 100% in the game against Bama in the SEC Championship, the Dawgs would have arguably won that game. Beck had to rely on other receivers who just simply were not as good nor had the same connection with Beck that Brock and Ladd had developed. Those relationships - QB & receiver/TE - take time to develop. We will see how well Beck performs and "connects" with new receivers and guys he worked with last season like Lovett, Smith, and Bell.

@CTD Every team has questions — I have Georgia No. 1 in my preseason poll, and pick them to go unbeaten. That said, it will take a couple good bounces and some of the resiliency we've seen from other Kirby teams. Articles like this are intended to inform you of the team's challenges and inner-workings — the same sort every team has. No gloom and doom here, just respect for the job Kirby does overcoming attrition and roster management issues.

Good, even article about the strengths and questions surrounding the '24 version of UGA football. Very appropriate considering 1) it is a young team and 2) the 1st game has yet to be played.

Unfortunately Mike some fans total experience with CFB comes only from watching UGA play or reading about UGA only on Dawgnation where most of the articles are written for UGA fans by UGA fans.

One concern I have is CKS deciding to "let the cat play (Beck)" from game 1. Keeping Beck on a short leash last year, until he showed he had it and could be trusted, worked out pretty well. Beck having the freedom to "gunsling" could result in a regression statistically. Especially with the O breaking in all new receivers (except Lovette) and new O linemen.
