Georgia football instant observations as Carson Beck ties school record in rout of Tennessee Tech
ATHENS — Sanford Stadium played Chappell Roan’s hit song Hot To Go! during the first half of Saturday’s game in an effort to pump up the fans. Georgia fans didn’t need much encouragement with how hot Georgia came out to start against the overmatched Tennessee Tech.

No surprise here. Like was said, it's hard to glean anything meaningful from this game. The unfortunate thing was we lost Delp which is frustrating against a team like this one. Next man up.
My instant observations from other games:
KY's offense is horrible. Their defense is pretty stout. Brock looked rattled and sacked multiple times in the first half. If we have serious issues with the Wildcats next week, then we've got bigger problems.
TX is for real. They are the most complete team I've seen this season. They are fast, big, and move the ball all over the field. Their TE, Gunnar Helm, was another Bowers. 7 catches for 98 yards. Even with the starting RB out with an injury, they just inserted other guys who ran and caught balls effectively. They've got 3-4 elite receivers including Isaiah Bond. Their defense is impressive. Michigan was manhandled at the LOS. We might need to worry about them more than Bama.
Keep it going, Dawgs!
GO DAWGS!
BEAT KENTUCKY!
We’ve got a Really good team, BUT there is Allot of work to be done and a short time to get it done. TX does look very good. We’ll see how it all pans out. Go Dawgs !!
LOL@ Brock Vandagriff!!
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Previewed some of the SC vs KY game…..KY has nothing that would threaten UGA. SC out manning them for as long as I watched. SC not that great either. Defense is decent. Hopefully, UGA can utilize young, non starters again. Gonna need all the depth UGA has for Bama and TX. TX looked very strong against Mich.
LOL@ Vandagriff!!
Kentucky has their Joe Cox now!

Is TX that good or is MI that bad?
@Georgia67
I think a little of both. Michigan lost several from their NC team, and their coach. Their name is why they were rated as high as they were. But in no way are they as good as they have been the past few years. Texas is really good. Going to be a challenge.
It was also very satisfying to see both ga tech and notre dame lose today.
Michigan is that bad…..no QB, only one receiver…TE Loveland, mediocre RB's, no defense or DC, and for that matter, no OC and the HC is highly suspect.
I agree that Texas is bigger threat. That's why we need to beat Bama.
As for "most complete team." I'd say we're at least as complete as the Longhorns are.
Couldn't post this on Connor's Beck-doesn't-want-Thorson-to-punt story. But it's relevant here too:
Connor missed his chance to point out that Thorson is a spectacular punter: His single punt went 55 yards — in the air — and pinned Tennessee Tech inside the 10.
He can really boom them. But he's a team player who understands that net yards are more important than gross yards. If we're punting from their 45, he pins them. From our 45, he pins them. Last year, he pinned Tennessee on the one from our 24 yard line! This year, he's pinned the opposition four or the five times he got on the field.
He probably won't get enough punts for the Ray Guy award. Because he's so good at pinning and seldom punts from deep in our territory, he probably won't have the longest average. But I doubt there's a better punter in college football.
Montana Dawg is all over it. My question: will Brock even be the starter for KY next week? He was benched and his replacement actually played better.
Final observation: An offense that scored 6 points against SC is not a more potent offense. Heck Old Dominion scored 19 points against SC in Columbia.
