A 3 star from Chatsworth, 186 WR's ranked ahead of him, offers from schools less prestigious but closer to home but a dream and a never quit attitude found its way to the school with the best football program in America, one in which coaches know how to develop dreams and positive attitudes into elite champions….that's Ladd McConkey….the best advertisement is always a consistent reputation of success.

Does it really surprise you, "G"?

IMO.…The vast majority of HS kids don't get anywhere near the level of coaching, development and exposure that some of these HS Football Industrial Powerhouses can generate.....[such as IMG, DeLasalle, etc.].

BUT....unfortunately....a lot of Parents, ether.…can't, don't, or are unable to provide the support their kid needs, in order to "make the rankings list"...."Put some stars after his name", so to speak. This is mostly a "Geography and Economic" condition [also, an opinion].

Coach Kirby Smart and a lot of the guys he has on staff, understand this [again...my opinion]. Kirby in particular, because we know where he was born, raised and coached. I think, that's the kind of "stuff" he looks for, in a kid. How were you raised?…if you know what I mean.

Either, you know what "it" is...or, you don't. Kirby, is undoubtedly...The Master as far as I'm concerned. He was the Tabasco, in Saban's drink...IMO....while, Lane Kiffin was The Straw. Lol
