Yeah, and the Diamondbacks won putting them 3 games ahead of the Braves…….SMH
Even a RH hitting Ozzie back on the squad is likely too little too late. Sigh.
Hard to have any confidence in this version of the Braves
Thank goodness they didn't bring up any of these young pitchers, who are over performing down on the farm. We've been giving up less than 4 runs a game through six innings, and just seem to be unable to add on any runs later in games. They stillmay be able to get that last wild card, although it seems unlikely this morning. Mediocre guys stressing out trying to do too much and giving away precious outs is not a recipe for success.
RISP. It is a problem for them, it seems.
Braves win a tough one. Iglesias with a 2-inning shutout in relief. Need to Mets to take a dive.
BIG 3 game series vs Mets starts Tuesday. RIght now they are training the Phils 1-0 in the 2nd inning. If they lost, we'll be only one game down. If the Mets win, we'll be 2 down. Hopefully we can get a series sweep and gain a cushion. Fingers crossed.
Mets up 2-1 in the bottom of the 7th. Looks like we may be down 2 games going to Tuesday's series opener.
They gotta have that game Tuesday. Or its basically over. 3 back with 5 to play. Slim chance even if you win the next two.
Win Tuesday and they will start feeling it a little bit.
Hits with RISP will define these last few games. Not something that we've had all season, but if Sean Murphy will just join the club, we have a chance. The lineup has been short all season the Bravos have given it all they have. We'll find out tomorrow night if we have a chance.
Murphy cannot be in the lineup Tuesday. imo
Agreed! I truly wish we would start Travis D'Arnaud more!
Yeah, Travis will have better at bats in big games down the stretch. Sorry Murph…but you gotta play better. The dude's season was doomed when he pulled an oblique swinging in the first game of the season.
I was hoping Sale was getting the ball Tuesday. But looks like its the guy with the really long name I cant even hope to spell.
He has been pretty good too.
I was thinking all 3 games.
Just say Schwelly, lol.
