Not good.. Our receivers have not shown us much talent so far this year. In order to beat Bama, we need all hands on deck without hangovers or red eyes from the night before, focused, and angry…. Otherwise, we are doomed. Beck needs to provide active leadership and eye-of-the-tiger focus instead of trying to be cool in his threads…. Bobo needs to really be aggressive for once in his life…. or he will lose yet another game for us. Hate to be negative, but it is true…

Our receiers and our vertical passing game(or lack therof) don't make defenses respect us, nor should they. BAMA will load the box, play man to man coverage on the outside and challenge our offense to get throws off on time and to beat them with the pass. If we can't run at least some and give CB time to throw to loosen up the safeties. it will be a long day.

It's time we started winning more recruiting battles for elite receivers.

@Beachwagon…I think we will be just fine without Humphreys. We've got Smith, Bell, Lovett, Young, and White. These guys just need to create some space. I'd love to see more use of Delp & Luckie. And I feel sure Frazier and Etienne will get some targets out of the backfield if they aren't struggle with a pass rush trying to give Beck some time to throw.

I've voiced my concern about Bobo's play calling with some folks not agreeing with me. Maybe they are right. Maybe it's more on the execution side than the actual play calls and offensive game plan, but I am still a bit skeptical. What I am really tired of seeing is these swing passes and WR screens that so many teams run…time and again. They are usually not very effective and only occasionally work as intended. Defensive backs know how to defend these now and do so pretty effectively. I don't understand why teams, including the Dawgs, seem to force that kind of play on longer yard situations when they usually fail to pick up the yards needed.

Bottom line: I'm ready to see Beck complete more passes DOWNFIELD and Bobo to mix things up to keep the defense guessing. All that will depend on our LOS taking command. If Beck is running for his life most of the night and the running game can't be effective enough then the results may not be good.

Well, that's definitely a big blow. He is the most dynamic receiver, IMO, so far this season. I hope we will peak at the "right" time, not when it is too late.
