More than fair actually. I kinda figured we’d drop to #6 and might in the AP poll.

Im shocked, i figured they drop to #7 or #8 if not not farther. I'd be surprised if the DAWGS aren't #7 or worse when the AP release their weekly ranking.

When is Kirby going to realize something that Saban learned a while ago…get a speedy QB with a cannon arm. Stop signing QBs with an arm that can run a little. You have to beat bama at their own game! Also, he needs a track star that can catch at WR. Bama has been doing that since the Lane Kiffin OC days and it has worked out well for them. Quit being stubborn Kirby! I think the closest thing we have to that on staff for QB at the moment is Gunner Stockton. I don't think he is the answer long term, but he may be the answer for right now.

I was thinking we’d drop to 6. Did expect Bama to jump to 1, since they have more quality wins than TX now.

Also, I keep hearing where Beck has this high football IQ…Both Kentucky and Bama defenses frustrated him into 1st half lapses of productivity. He literally was a non-factor in those games in the first half - for Kentucky even longer than that. He had 2 weeks to prepare for Bama and walked in that game looking absolutely lost. Time to move on. I think Beck is overrated and we need to give Gunner Stockton a try. At least he has getaway speed and can buy time for our receivers to (hopefully) create separation. And what is up with our receivers? Dropping passes and running simplistic routes that aren't going to shed anyone as a defender. Horrible. This thing is a train wreck that will just get worse with the status quo. Let's treat this like the titanic and quit rearranging the deck chairs…time to break away from the same-old and try something else.

Me too, Texas beat an Oklahoma team, who struggled all game yesterday against a very weak Mississippi state team. That makes the Texas win over Oklahoma look even more unimpressive. But the "experts" can't seem to fathom the fact that texas has played not 1 game against an above average team this season..the evidence of that is keeping Texas #1 when bama just knocked off the #2 team in the country.

why did it take until the second half to make the defensive adjustments needed to slow Alabama cdown?!?!?!

If we do coaches poll by halves first half we are probably 50 or so but second half we are still around the top but surprised we are still nr 5

I had UGA at 7 behind PA State. Very bad taste in my mouth re UGA right now. I could not believe UGA was this poorly prepped? Stunned actually. Kirby says it is on him…ya don't say. UGA is supposed to be the team that gitsem to the League? Coaches them up. Beck should be benched. Bobo needs a nice beach somewhere where he can retire. Glenn Schumann won't be in as high demand by other teams now. Poor defensive showing. Bama did out class Georgia. Superior team and head coach. True #1. I am a very unhappy UGA grad, who generations ago, actually worked for the team on game days. Better games ahead? No idea. Playoff hopes still alive…doubtful

Well, keep in mind that we were previously #1, so #5 makes sense especially when your loss is literally 1 catch from a win on the Road to the #2 team. Kentucky's win against the previous #6 team helped make our previous win looked somewhat better as well. We didn't "deserve" to win, but keep in mind that great teams have games they just barely win.

Georgia HAS had a puzzling scenario where they like they to recruit traditional "Pro" QBs avoiding running QBs (or not giving them what they want and/or need) while at the same time NOT RECRUITING/KEEPING WIDE RECEIVERS. Compare Us and Bama for WR:

    2024

    Bama: 1 5-Star (Ryan Williams), 3 4-Stars, 2 Transfers
    Georgia: 1 4-Star (Tuggle?), 1 3-Star, 3 Transfers

    2023

    Bama: 3 4-Stars, 1 3-Star
    Georgia:

    • (4 Star) Tyler Williams - Transferred to Minnesota
    • (4 Star) Anthony Evans - (3 receptions this year)
    • (4 Star) Zeed Haynes - Transferred To Syracuse
    • Transfer Rara Thomas - Kicked off team
    • Transfer Dominic Lovett

    2022

    Bama: 3 4-Stars, 2 Transfers
    Georgia:

    • (4 Star) De'Nylon Morrissette - Transferred to Purdue
    • (3 Star) Dillon Bell
    • (3 Star) Cole Speer - (4 Career Receptions)
    • (3 Star) CJ Smith - Transferred to Purdue

Correction to my previous comment..Make that Auburn not mississippi state that oklahoma struggled against yesterday.

Home Field advantage Does matter the vast majority of times not every time but most. And I think the pregame hype got to Beck and our Dawgs in spite of Kirby trying to blanket and filter it away from the team. It certainly didn’t help any.
