Wonder if Ellis could have: A: Broken up the GW pass to Bama FR WR and if not, B: Tackled him?

I would like to think that Ellis might have been in better coverage than Humphrey was on that 75 yard bomb that costs us the win against Bama. Hard to believe he could have been more out of position on that play.

That loss can’t be placed solely on Humphrey. Granted he didn’t make the play, but there’s plenty of other players that didn’t make plays that would have made a difference on both sides of the ball.

Coach says the same with all the fresh. Everette and Humphreys, I thought, got torched a few times. KJ never sees the light of day either. I see transfer portal for a bunch of these top rated freshman. CKS is loyal to his vets even if they are not getting it done. (raiola made the right move to huskers, he's a star with them)

Everyone has an opinion, but in my opinion the coverage was very solid. The only problem was Humphrey couldn't find the ball when he turned around. It looks easy but after running to keep up with a very fast and shifty receiver that has the benefit of the refs giving him protection against the DB and then turning to try and find the ball is very difficult. I thought Humphrey had solid coverage and when the receiver stopped to adjust to the pass, he turned to find the ball and contest it and simply turned the wrong way. I wish it had turned out differently, but Humphrey wasn't the problem on that play - it was just a great play by Williams and had Humphrey turned the right way, the outcome may have been much different.

I totally agree. It was a solid coverage. Had he turned his head 0.2 second earlier, it could've been an interception. I think he is our best coverage guy at this point.

Completely agree it can’t be placed on Humphrey. At the same time, would like to see what our big time recruits, especially Ellis, can do. We needed some help on D Sat night. Give a player a chance to make plays.

Now everyone is saying that Humphrey's actually had good coverage on Williams. I think not. All these, "if he had done this," or "if he had done that," just won't cut it. Bottom line is, for whatever reason, legitimately or not, he just didn't make the play when the play needed to be made, and Williams and Milroe did. That's ALWAYS the case with Georgia vs. Alabama. Tua just made a play. Devontae Smith just made a play. Jalen Hurts just made a play. In last year's SECCG, Milroe just made a play. Saturday night, Ryan Williams just made a play. When are our guys just going to make a play? No excuses. No, what ifs. Just make a play. I don't know if Ellis Robinson can do that or not. It would have been interesting to see this year if Humphrey and Harris had transferred. Then Kirby would have had little choice but the play Robinson. And by now, he might have been a pretty good cornerback. But, as Kirby says, "you got the players you got." I just hope that this Saturday, one of those guys can simply make a play when needed. Go Dawgs!

Unfortunately, none of our current CB’s are lighting it up…Why not give The Young Pup some Trial Under Fire before someone else comes along and gives him the opportunity!?!?!?

honestly it can’t get any worse than it is, Everrette gets torched every game

Robinson will be a starter next season - for Bama or Texas.

Zabien Brown out hustled and out played Colbie Young on Beck's last interception as we were driving in the last minute of the fourth quarter. That's what happens when you get out hustled—you lose. What a shame Beck didn't throw it to somebody else.
