As I’ve stated on other threads Auburn will be dangerous in that they’re desperate. And a desperate team will play with reckless and wild abandon with little regard for penalties.

Also Auburn has a history of playing Dirty vs UGA and taking cheap shots on our players. I just hope none of our guys get injured. STILL if our Dawgs can’t beat the Tiggers IN ATHENS then they don’t really need to even think about a Natty.

I Believe our Dawgs Will win and by a substantial score. No slow starts Please !! Go Dawgs !! I’m still Believing in you Furry Beasts !!

Mike, I appreciate your willingness to put yourself in front of the firing squad for speaking the truth. Georgia needs to improve. I think they can, but some things need to be rethought, especially in the post season. I hate them with a passion, but NIL and the portal are now a thing and must be dealt with. I don't Kirby to become the next Dabo. Buy what you need and keep what you have. It sucks, but we need to do what we need to do and hope for some sanity to return to college football. Having been one many years ago I totally agree with the idea of players receiving some monetary compensation, but college football is not a career. Anyway, thanks Mike for your efforts!

There's no doubt, Auburn will be ready to play. Always are, desperate or not. They just don't have the horses or the stamina meet UGA's talented depth, toe-to-toe, between the hedges. Not this year.

IMO....Auburn's 2024 version of an "A Game"...won't matter. Might make for an interesting 1st half...but, the Dawgs will run away with it in the 3rd qtr and put on the brakes with Defense and running game, in the 4th qtr..…just like they typically do, under Smart. Maybe put in the 3rd team, or something.

I'm sure, Kirby will try to keep it close and competitive for a while. But, he's "HOME TEAM" against a perennial rival and one of the premier SEC Teams over the last hundred years, give or take. After a disappointing loss. With recruits in the house.

All things considered....He may not be able to resist the temptation, to embarrass Auburn in front of a home crowd...just to feed his Dawgs some "red meat" for a change. Chicken gets old. Lol...Is Tiger considered a red meat?! Eagle is too close to chicken.

" Georgia ranks 14th in the league and 106th in the nation in third-down conversion rate (33 percent) and 13th in the SEC and 64th in the nation in third-down conversion defense (36.5 percent).

Most notably, however, has been the Bulldogs inability to control the line of scrimmage on offense and defense. Georgia ranks 14th in the SEC allowing 126.3 yards rushing per game and is 15th in the league with only 129.3 yards per game rushing."

I'd say that pretty well sums up where the Dawgs must improve in order to not go 9-3 or possibly worse. Against Bama, we did use 4th down often to make 10 yards which has possibly skewed our 3rd down conversion stats. But, having to use 4 downs to go 10 yards is pretty telling in of itself. Penalties hurt us at Bama and made things harder. Auburn game should show whether this team is back on track, humming, efficient, and effective or just treading water.

Just to add a little context to your "stat"....The Dawgs are tied with 6 other teams for 1st place in 4th down conversions, at 100%....according to www.teamrankings.com.

And, if I'm not mistaken....they've had far more "4th down attempts" than usual at this point in the season. I don't think that's an accident. I think it's a Smart/Searels challenge to their backs and o-line, heading into the meat of their schedule.

II don't believe that will be a resounding issue, this year. If it really is an issue....I guess we better get used to "50 pass attempt, games". Lol

    UGA....51

    AUB....10

If we come out and play not to lose, we will put ourselves in jeopardy. Need to open up the offense early. D must play better, especially at LOS. Plus our DBs need to play better, especially in coverage.

Today?...vs this Auburn team....in Athens?!. I absolutely agree.

This is the time, if there ever was one, to "open it up" and create an identity in the 1st qtr.. Get your 2nd, 3rd and 4th teams some experience....and impress the prospective recruits, watching on....in the process.

I think the Dawgs are going to impose their will, on the line of scrimmage, today, and run all over Auburn. On the ground. Maybe, 20 pass attempts....give or take 5.

Go get em Big Red....do your thang.
