ATHENS — Alabama’s time as the No. 1 team in the AP Poll was short-lived. The Crimson Tide flopped this week against Vanderbilt and dropped to No. 7 in this week’s AP Poll.

Still major concerns about this offensive line that was supposed to be elite. The rbs are working too hard to get yardage and the defensive front is getting pushed around as well. If the war is won in the trenches, I am fearful of the outcome of the Texas game…
Texas has not played anyone. They could get found out next week at Oklahoma.
This poll is a fluid situation if I ever saw one, and if the blocking, tackling, coaching, and execution doesn't get any better, it's gonna go south. Got to bring your A game every week. GATA!!!
We lost to Alabama. Who cares if we're ranked ahead of them? We shouldn't be.
Bull crap- Vandy was unranked and lost to Ga. State University. Bama should be outside the top 10 and yet they are golden plated a #7 spot.
rankings really do not matter, if UGA and BAMA both win out, it will probably be UGA/bama in the SEC champ. Unless TXAM WINS OUT!! No way that’s gonna happen. But after this weekend we all should only be worried about the next game. Yes even Miss St- just kidding. Dawgs will beat the dogs by 30. Then the game in Austin will probably decide who will go to Atlanta. So even if we were ranked 10th. Gotta play the games.
Beat Alabama and play a full 60 minute game that looks like you are trying and this conversation does not happen. Shades of Mark Richt always blowing the big game in one crazy fashion or another. This loss is on the entire team and coaching staff. It takes a total team effort to look this bad.
you do know how these polls work. People vote and they add up the totals then sort. It’s not like the committee choosing based on head to head. Some voters probably said. It was VANDY!! Others probably put bama ahead iOF UGA. There are 62 voter(I think) and each ranks 1-25. With their # 1 team getting 25 points and their 25th team getting a point

We haven't been playing up to our talent or expectation. Seems like just the kind of thing that could get the players to focus with some urgency.
Mississippi State ought to provide a good opportunity for us to finally hit our stride before conquering Austin.

That doesn't make any sense. Alabama just KOed the Dawgs a little over a week ago and have beat them something like 8 out of the past 10 tries. Alabama owns Georgia until proven otherwise, so let's cut out the BS. Period dot com.
Well, if that's true, then UGA shouldn't be in the Top 20. Alabama owns the Dawgs until proven otherwise.
