imageGeorgia football not happy after Mississippi State showing: ‘That’s really frustrating’

ATHENS — Daylen Everette couldn’t offer up an explanation as to what happened to Georgia in the second half. The Georgia defensive back was speechless when asked to explain what happened as Georgia saw a once commanding lead shrink to a rather uncomfortable margin.

It's telling that neither Everette nor Humphreys have not shown any improvement from last season. That's on coaching. Lack of press

Lack of pressure on the QB is both the players and coaches fault. Has Schumann heard of a stunt?. The lack of creativity in the defensive schemes is appalling. Forget man to man against UT. Deep zone and keep them in front

Schumann is not Muschamp or Dan Lanning. Kirby is seen constantly in Schumann’s ear Many times in nearly every game played since he became DC!! UGA needs to pony up the $$$ and beg Muschamp to come back !!

Or if he won’t then Kirby needs to serve as Both the DC and HC like several coaches in CFB do.

Then Kirby needs to call All his Defensive and for that matter Offensive staff together and chew their azzes Slap Out !! On our jobs out here in the world that’s what happens to us when WE under perform !!

I’d Dearly Love to have had a fraction of these people’s salaries !!! Time for Kirby to make EM earn it !! Then I’d let ALL first string Players know you Can and if you continue to under perform Will be replaced by that Hungry guy behind you on the depth chart !!

Team Meeting should take place Sunday afternoon. First Kirby privately with All coaching staff. Then Kirby and All coaching staff with the Entire Team !!! Go Dawgs !!!

There was not anything “great” about this game today for Georgia.

The only good thing was Georgia got the win.

    That is about it.

Too many issues to get into.

The Main thing: Beck throwing picks in the red zone, and he should have had one more pick but the MSU defender dropped it.

Going to be a long, long week for us Dawg fans.

Hope for the best, but…we shall see

We just gave up 31 points to a team that scored only 6 vs Texas. That’s what is frustrating.

It’s evident that Muschamp was more of the brains of the defense than Schumman was when they were Co-D coordinators.

I understand the SEC is a tough conference , but Kirby and his players gives teams who they are more inferior than to much credit. When you make the comments they make after playing a subpar game gives teams confidence that they can play with you. Beck is not a 1st round quarterback. He have the potential to be, but his play and consistency is not there.I am glad the hesiman talk is past him. I thought the defense would be a better unit than last year...I can't help but to shake my head. The past rush hasn't been found and can we find some defensive backs. The offensive line is living off past years hype because we are not a good run team. Etienne is doing the work on his own. Great job for him.

Is it possible to "correct" poor decision making?

Pitiful defensive performance! Can't pressure the QB! Can't tackle! Can't defend against the pass! I really hate to be pessimistic, but this team has not shown me that they deserve to make the 12 team playoff. In fact, if they continue to play like this, they might end up 8-4. GET YOUR SHEET TOGETHER!

The Chambliss face mask was just bad luck. He had him clean but the guy twisted until his face mask was in Chambliss’ hand. He let go immediately but the damage was done. A while ago this would have been a 5 yard penalty and not a personal foul and automatic first down.

“Things are going to happen, ball’s going to get batted in the air, guys are going to make plays on defense,” Beck said. “I mean, we’re playing against an SEC defense, you know? Guys are going to make plays. They’re talented, athletic, so it is what it is. Just keep playing the game.”

We were playing the worst team in the SEC. I understand Carson's quote to some extent. Yes, adversity comes in most games. I just don't see Carson's frustration with breakdowns and interceptions. Show us some fire.

I saw the exact same thing, with a very different conclusion. QB already sacked/down, but Chambliss was determined to get a piece of the action a little too late and with way too much facemask. I like his fire, but it was a boneheaded play that led to 7 points. That's why eye witness testimony can be so unpredictable! Go Dawgs!

We lost to one team and nearly lost to another that both lost to Vanderbilt. Yesterday, were it not for a late 4th-down score that nearly got stuffed, we would've beaten the worst team in the SEC at home by a mere 3 points and may have lost if they go down the field and score. That's not good. How many times have our offensive guys on the outside missed blocks? When our O-line would open up holes for our RB, their linebackers were right there waiting. On defense, even Kirby at halftime mentioned lack of eye-discipline. Do other elite teams suffer through injuries every year like UGA? No matter the issues, the buck stops with the coaches. Seems like Bobo's philosophy is to get great players the ball and let them do their magic instead of scheming players open. That doesn't work against teams that also have elite athletes.

The fans' frustration comes from the lack of response after we lost to Bama. Look at Clemson's response after they lost to us. Granted, Clemson's not playing the same caliber of teams. But, that team and coach responded. That's what UGA fans wanted to see these last 2 games and didn't. Hence, fan frustration. Georgia still may be able to make the playoff semi-finals, which isn't the standard here, but still awesome. Seems like there is Texas then everyone else (with maybe Oregon & Ohio State behind Texas but a tier above everyone else).
