Prior to the season I think most people would agree that 2 conference losses would probably keep a team out of the SEC Championship and 3 total losses without a conference championship would most likely keep a team from making the CFP. I expected Georgia to miss the SEC Championship but make the CFP by going 3-2 against Clemson, Bama, Texas, Ole Miss & Tennessee and not have any slip ups against Kentucky, Auburn, Florida or Georgia Tech.

Georgia definitely gets in with 2 losses. If they don't play in the SEC title game, they could wind up being seeded 5-8 (depending on the 2 teams' record and the outcome) so I think they would be in a good position to host a first round game.

Ditto from what Brandon Adams said…including the WHY.

I Agree…Alabama will lose more. Guaranteed. Texas and UGA will be the last men standing in the SEC...with 1 SEC Loss, each. There will be at least 2 more SEC Reps in the CFP, besides those 2…IMO.

Those 2 additional SEC Teams...could literally be, anybody, at this point of the season. Just based on the inconsistencies and physicality I've seen from SEC Teams, across the board.

Kirby's been great at being the favorite, but can he coach his team to an upset on the road? That would be legendary, or at the least, really good.

You're right. Anybody can drop 1 early away game, like the one in Tuscaloosa....but, losing 2, is NOT in the Elite stratosphere. I don't think Kirby is gonna play this one close.

UGA is going All-In on Texas. They're gonna rename their namesake card game...."Georgia Hold'em"....after this season. Lol

IMO...it's better to be the underdog on the road, than the favorite. You can bet…the Dawgs will go in there, very hungry. Kirby has em just where he wants em.

When we were going through the two seasons where we won the Natty, the elite character of the team was wonderfully palpable. You could feel the dominance —you knew we were Elite. With this team—not so much. Kirby needs to recruit more Roquans, more Stetsons, more Brocks. I wish I could feel that dominance once again—instead we're talking about making an expanded playoff with two(two!) loses!!! Prove me wrong—GO DAWGS

    You will.…after today.

Today, will mark the end of UGA's "Preseason".

IMO…Till now....Kirby has been preparing for the postseason and next year. Because, he can. He's not the least bit concerned with the prevailing perception, based on stats.

He has his team in perfect position for a serious 2 year run....beginning with Texas. Their overall talent, is better than it was in 21' & '22. Nothing has changed, except coaching. And, "that" hasn't changed in practice.

    UGA.....44

    TEX......17
