    Only fair, since bama did the same thing when they beat the DAWGS..

    UGA definitely #2. I feel they could give Oregon a go for sure, but, alas, that one tough L to infamous Bama!!! Pure torment.

    Hm. I don't mind Georgia not getting the top spot with the loss on their record. Fair enough. But also dropping Texas only to #5 is suspect. It seems like the voters are trying to have it both ways. I don't know how you can only drop them 4 spots after getting manhandled on their home field like that, even with the refs openly trying to help them throughout the entire second half, and still conclude that the team that just pantsed them isn't #1. Seems like it's gotta be one or the other.

    Personally, I'd have Georgia at 2 and Texas down to like 8 or 9.

    @E_Roc

    Were what you are claiming true, Texas would be #4 ahead of Ohio State.

    Texas is #5 because no one is impressed by anyone behind them. Miami has a terrible defense, no big wins and is coached by Mario Cristobal. Clemson lost to UGA by 31 and hasn't beaten anyone. Tennessee lost to 4-3 Arkansas, LSU to 3-4 USC, Notre Dame to a mid major with losses to Toledo and Buffalo. Indiana, Iowa State and BYU are undefeated but haven't played anyone and don't have many NFL prospects. Maybe they, along with Texas A&M, deserve to be ranked higher but all would be double digit underdogs to Texas.

    Come to think of it, that would be an interesting exercise. Tell me the teams ranked 6-25 that you believe would beat Texas on a neutral field, and tell me why.

    Amen, and the resume will only get better win a road win over The Hound dogs of Rocky Top…..BUT, there is so much work to do….if Better Never Rest, our D will keep burning the midnight oil cause it sure paid off in Bovinville….. Carson will keep searching for that "touch" he demonstrated last year, and our WR's need to invest all those NIL dollars into "stickem", our O-Line will spend double time in the weight room to gain that extra "PUSH" up front…..Kuddos to Trevor and Nate, they are inspiration to our RB room, Nate, Branson, Dillon, AE III, and Cash don't let Trevor run away with the "First 500" race…..now on to "Cocktail Town" an the Gator Challenge.

    No Worries, No Worries….Dan & The Ducks deserve the Golden One…as they beat a more talented team in TOS albeit one with coaching deficits…The Dawgs beat down of The Long Horns was a result of 4 positives…..Attitude, Coaching, Resilience, and Talent…..these are the reasons we will beat The Ducks when we meet….These are the reasons we will win another Natty!

    The worst ranking fiasco: Penn State at 3.
