Georgia running back injuries force Nate Frazier to show just how much better he has gotten
ATHENS — Kirby Smart has been very complimentary of Nate Frazier of late.

More people hurt, same story every year. Poor O line play. Super bad play calling. Can Kirby turn this around by next year. Is he making plans now? Or does he become Dabo Swinney.
If you look the plays where Frazier so called fumbled the ball, Ole Miss had one guy holding him up and another guy pulling the ball away from him, that to me is not a fumble. The refs should have called both of those plays dead, he was clearly stopped. You say in the article that in the RB room there are only freshman, what is wrong with freshman, they got the freshest legs of anybody, you don't think they can run a play, what? Georgia needs to get more explosive plays called, BOBO quit being so conservative and let it fly. GO DAWGS
Nate Frazier has an opportunity of a lifetime in front him. He has the talent and tenacity to be great. Anyone who knows football can see that. However, an under performing OL will make any RB look very ordinary. If I see another O-lineman standing around watching while our RB's get mauled I'm going to climb through my TV set and get in someone's face.
Go Dawgs!
I agree with Geogia67 and DAWGHOUND. These freshmen RBs were the best in the country in high school, and according to Kirby have been "growing every day" since… give them the darn rock and BLOCK for 'em! Go Dawgs!
more than freshman RBs on the bench. Would love to see Garrison’s son Gannon Hearst get an opportunity
You know, this is a good point. I've been resisting some of the "this is a coaching issue" points out there until recently, but your point really reminded me that we DO have great backs who have been benched when they should have at least given them a few reps (I had completely forgotten Hearst). Hopefully new thinking in the coaching staff prevails against UT!
Herschel was a freshman, when Dooley decided to put him in , at the Tennessee game, in 1980. It was a night game at Tennessee. That turned out pretty well. I believe the score was 16-15. I remember Larry Munson saying " my God a freshman". I think Dooley had to be talked into putting Herschel in, who can talk to Kirby? Go dawgs!!
After 2 fumbles vs MS, Frazier now has the reputation as a fumbler. TN will be coming after the ball hard on every carry. With ETN hurting does Frazier play the whole game? Turnovers will be key to a win on saturday.
Bowens not playing at all is puzzling. He is a freshman and may not know his assignments, especially his protection assignments. Gotta wonder if he can give you anything vs TN.
Losing RRob for, what now looks like, the entire year was a killer setback.
I'm sure Kirby and the rest of the UGA coaches want to win as much as anyone. Just because some of these kids were stars in high school, doesn't mean that they're ready to play regularly in the SEC. I figure that Kirby and the coaches see them in practice and know their limitations. So, if they're not playing them, I'm assuming that there's good reason. Just hoping that Etienne can give us more than six (6) carries Saturday, and that Frazier can not only gain yards, but hang on to the ball. Go Dawgs!
