This is a really great article... it felt like reading a mini-novel about the 2024 Dawgs and brought to life for me all the various twists and turns of the season so far, not just about CB.

It also contained some (admittedly veiled) advice, and I agree with MG: if Carson can maintain these kinds of leadership behaviors and sustainably move from a "designer bag" to "lunch pail" mentality, then his natural talents will shine and both his and the team's performance will once again peg the redline.

Again, awesome, thought-provoking article... many thanks, @MikeGriffith !!!

Very well thought out and written article, Mike. Yes, Carson, you were on the edge of brilliance Saturday night. You showed guts, you threw like a champion, and the most important thing—you motivated all of the players around you. Bravo to you!! Keep it up so you'll be able to buy all of those Louis Vuitton bags you want!! GO DAWGS

Main thing he needs to do is stay around the team on the sideline slapping them on the back keeping them pumped, instead of sitting by himself looking arrogant. I remember all the players being in on Stetson yelling for the "Mailman". Maybe Beck needs a nickname.

Please stop quoting anonymous NFL Talent Evaluators. If they say a kid's draft stock is falling, then own it by putting their name on it. If 3 interceptions in 3 consecutive games has caused Beck's stock to drop, then explain how Anthony Richardson, who's best passing game in college, is not as good as Beck's worst game, gets drafted 4th overall. Bill Polian said Lamar Jackson is not a NFL QB after he declared for the draft and the entire NFL and all of its fans have seen how that has turned out.

Carson played well in a big game. Stay tuned.

    Probably the Falcons' "talent evaluator."

Many believed he would be in the top 3 QB's taken. He'll definitely go on the first day. But his stock can't help but have fallen some. THe shame of it is millions. HIs best bet is to get his balls back, like Ricky Bobby, and finish strong. I believe Saturday was the turning point. Lead us to a NC and move back into the top 3 QB's.

Excellent article and points @MikeGriffith . I do believe his stock dropped with his earlier performance and with good reason - it had regressed from last year. We've heard all the points about talent last year, and when Bennett was here, and how that has dropped, but many of those mistakes were on the QB.

He clearly has the physical talent and that is what gets people excited about his potential and it seemed something happened to tweak his confidence. All of the dropped passes certainly don't help and early in the UT game, his facial expression looked a bit down. But then came the 12-yard run with the trucking of the DB at the end and I'm telling you, the lights went off and he emerged with a bit of a swagger and then it was lights out. Here is hoping that Hulk we saw after that run, stays around and that those TEs stay as involved in the offensive game plan - that worked great.

    Go DAWGS

OK, integrating this with @flemingislanddawg 's point, I think we have a winner for CB that matches his personality:

    THE HULK!!!

CKS just has to ensure that, every game going forward, something triggers Carson (I mean, THE HULK!) 🤠😎🤙

    Great article @MikeGriffith!

I am one of those ‘keyboard warriors’ who has been highly critical of Beck, and, I must say, you captured very well my take on Beck’s next level performance against Tennessee, as well as his disappointing past behavior, both on and off the field.

I most definitely DO TIP MY HAT TO CARSON for what I saw Saturday. If he continues to behave and play like that, then, win or lose, I am a happy and content fan where our QB is concerned. 😎

    Gooooo Dawgs! 👍🏻
