Like I mentioned before, Jaxson Moi was sauntering off the field like he was headed to the Tike Hut for his fifth Shirley Temple…it was a clear attempt to waist time and disrupt The Dawgs who were driving the ball down field…..it was 2nd and 7….we gained a 5 yards on the penalty so its 2nd and 2……The Vols still had a chance to stop the drive…….The most egregious misuse of the rules by Major Hoople and The Vols was the mysterious affliction attacking another D-Lineman…….this time it wasn't "Slowassitis" it was "Fallassitis"…….I'm so relieved this young man landed on his derriere instead of his head…..must have been practicing all week…..it was the most obvious rules violation of the game, but not called……hopefully, Sankkey will send Major Hoople a strongly worded letter warning him of the SEC standards!

I like the idea of if a player goes down, then he cant play defense in that particular possession by the offense. THat would cure most of it.

This faking an injury to gain an advantage has to be stopped. Heupel gets real sanctimonious about the 12-man rule, but thinks nothing of having his D lineman fake an injury.

Either that, or if the "injured" player comes back on the field the next play, or same possession, it comes with a 15 yard Unsportsmanlike Conduct penalty also. Get another Unsportsmanlike penalty and you're automatically ejected from the game per, NCAA rules.

I saw some TN Vol fans on social media complaining of these 'bad' calls by the refs. They were rather blatantly saying the whole purpose of the slow roll in substitution by the defense was an attempt to cause problems for the offense to get them to get a delay of game penalty or to use a time out. They seemed to be aware of the 3 second rule but claimed that it was rarely enforced so it shouldn't be enforced when they were violating the spirit and intent of the rule. Bunch of hypocritical orange whiners. Of course, none of them tried to justify the fake injury. Heupel needs to send his players to take acting classes if they want to be more successful at faking injuries.
