College Football Playoff rankings Week 13: Georgia football moves into last at-large spot
ATHENS — Georgia football has moved up in the latest College Football Playoff rankings for Week 13, as the Bulldogs are now No. 10 team in the rankings.

Which teams ranked higher than South Carolina wouldn't want to play the Gamecocks this weekend?
I don't think the committee is stûpid. I think they are disingenuous. I think they are lazy. I think they appear to have the best interests of football fans and the truth about which teams are better than other teams on the back burner because they really don't much care about either.
Go, Dawgs!
This playoff system is still not the answer. You are not getting the best teams in the playoffs. Indiana has not played a ranked team all year! The Big-12 and Mountain West are very weak conferences. What if Georgia played in one of those conferences? They would probably be undefeated. The ACC? Georgia is probably playing in the conference championship game. Taking a team ranked 12th (hypothetical because Boise State is currently 12th) and putting them in the top 4 is just ridiculous imo. I like the FCS system of #1 plays 16, 2 plays 15, 3 plays 14, etc.
I might add Jim, they are guided by a B1G homer…..currently this conference with 18 teams has only 2 maybe 3 teams that could successfully compete in the SEC so of course wins matter more than strength of schedule….I agree with DawgTattoo, the FCS rankings/pairings worked much better than these "disingenuous" pretenders…..but hey, this is what we have, The Dawgs just need to win out…..CONVINCINGLY and we'll see where it gets us……GOOOO DAWGS, SICEM!
This committee is a joke. And they lie. They don’t consider strength of schedule. If they did, Georgia would be ranked higher.
This gets more ridiculous each week. Clearly, no one is taking strength of schedule into any consideration or this would look dramatically different.
Georgia is now 3-2 against teams the committee ranks 17th or higher and yet is behind three teams with no Top 25 wins, including one it beat by 15. Miami, two spots above Georgia, hasn't even played a Top 25 opponent They are also bound and determined to get ND into the mix although they play no one. They keep excusing the home loss to NIU as early season but want to give them credit for beating Texas A&M - which was their very first game. You can’t make this stuff up
How pitiful is this?! If this is what it is going to turn into, simply protecting conferences, then turn it over to AI and let that lick them. It is garbage and doesn’t seem to be getting any better
total joke but the team deserves it.
and we thought the political debates were over. The jockeying for the tv markets is becoming obvious.
I'm always wary of "conspiracy theories" that pop up every year, especially on rankings and press coverage... agree with you, so not much doubting this time. Regardless of the rankings, it CANNOT be a coincidence that there is an active Big 10 AD serving as Chair and the Big 10 has 4 out of the 5 top spots!!!
That will change, as OSU plays IU (go Hoosiers! Send Ryan home), but by how much? It'll be verrrrryyyyy interesting to see how the conference championships will impact the final rankings. My "Spidey Sense" is telling me the CFP Chair is going to be making a LOT of excuses for the teams that lose in the Big 10 the next few weeks... 🤔😳🤯
