Kirby Smart updates Christen Miller, Dillon Bell injury situations heading into Georgia Tech
ATHENS — Georgia coach Kirby Smart provided an update on the injury front heading into the game against Georgia Tech.

Not looking good for Etienne. Fractured ribs are so tough to heal…I had that problem. UGA NEEDS Miller…period. Have no idea on the two Robinsons at RB? Kirby suits them up but they do not play? Frazier has been magnificent! Cash Jones is in there too. That's about it really. Very lean in the backfield. Tech is going to hit UGA guns blazing…so to speak.
Yeah getting the Robinsons back would be a huge boost to the power run game…really hoping they continue to progress.
Very correct, any rib injury is tough. Even bruised ribs make it painful when you take a breath. I couldn't imagine the pain associated with fractured ribs.
My guess (and it's purely that) is that "the Robinson's" were being held as "emergency backup" (so to speak) in case we suffered injuries to Frazier, Cash, and/or others. That's not unheard of with folks who are 80-90% OK, but still ideally need more recuperation to be 100%.
My hope? That even if Robinsons, Etienne, and others are somewhat available for the Tech game, UGA can still win with whoever was on the field last weekend. There will be injuries during this Friday's game (a miracle if not at least 1 or 2) and ensuring max availability for the SEC CG has to be a priority at this point.
Oh, and PS: I noticed no mention of Colbie Young in Connor's list above. Probably just an oversight or did something happen with Young's status this week that I missed?
Again, "Bell and Anthony Evans should be good to go for Saturday’s game". SMH. GT game is friday night.
CYoung, as much as he could be used, is a long shot any time soon. BRob and RRob probably not any time soon either. SECCG?
I was going to note that the Tech game is Friday night, not Saturday. Good catch. As for Colbie, he doesn't get arraigned until early December. I would expect some disposition of his case then or soon after if, as has been reported, his ex-girlfriend has asked that all charges against him be dismissed. So, if we're lucky — in more ways than one — he might be back for the playoffs. As for the Robinson brothers, I expect both of them to play against Tech, although it seems like BRob is a little further ahead than RRob. I do hope Etienne can get back in time for the playoffs. Guess we'll see. Not sure about Chris Miller. Kirby's comments about him today were more positive than I expected, even though he didn't say much. Go Dawgs!
Better be ready, Tech is coming with everything they have.
