Nobody cares about the rankings crap! The only thing of any importance is the 12 teams seeded in the CFP and their matchups!

A team that lost by double digits to a horrible OU team they were favored to beat AND to a Vanderbilt team that lost to a non power 4 conference is ranked 11. Figure that nonsense out.

I wish Reese would have asked him, if UGA lost by say three scores, would they be penalized for playing in the SECC and fall behind a utk team they beat? Not that it's to happen, but a fair question. Also everyone knew they would get bammer in it.

Win and you're in. Anything less is wishful thinking. Dawgs can make a statement Saturday and set the tone. HUNT!

I’m sure not a GameCock fan by any stretch of the imagination. But they should be in Bama’s spot. It doesn’t matter what’s going on in CFB the powers that be are Always gonna plug Bama and Notre Dame in, some how some way.

Oh and you can add Ohio St. to that every year those three teams are gonna be ranked very high. But if the Dawgs slip even the slightest they drop them to the bottom of the barrel . The bias is So obvious. 😡. P.S. Say what you will but ESPN and their 🤡 show have Huge influence over the rankings, and most of ESPN for whatever reasons has no love for the Dawgs.

If you say you are okay with SC taking Alabama's place even though AL beat SC then you have to be okay with TN jumping UGA should UGA lose in the SECCG. UGA could be playing its 1st playoff game at TN or even at AL..

Listened to a CBS sports guy on THe FAn just a few minutes ago who said the Committee doesn't consider the rankings of the teams you either beat or lost to at the time you played them, (huh?)only what the are ranked now! He also implied that UGA would(how did he phrase it) not be affected much or drop much if they lost to Texas, as long as it wasn't a bad looking loss.

HE also said, being a "hot" team at the moment had zero affect on the Committee, it was your overall body of work.

I can't agree with that. Not based on the potential of UGA losing a conference championship. On the one hand, 10-3 would trump 9-3 (so that's apples and oranges; still more regular-season wins, and still fewer regular-season losses), and on the other hand Alabama's losses were definitely more significant than USC's (two losses to unranked teams vs only losing to ranked teams, and never when they were favored to win).

Yeh, but, they'e Alabama, or so the argument goes.

Is there anything to the story that the former Chicago Bears football coach will be assisting the Bulldogs?
