I think we can all agree that the starting QB for next year is not on the current roster. Come on home Air Noland!

There's no way I can really comment intelligently about this subject until the rest of the season plays out, and I get to see what Gunner is capable of in a game from start to finish (with plenty of time to develop a playbook for him). Both QBs have their pros and cons.

I will say this with 100% certainty: Knowing Kirby, if Beck does return next season with a fully healthy elbow then he will be the starter (unless Gunner leads us to a National Championship). There's no way Kirby puts anyone ahead of him. Which means we will lose at least one or two guys to the portal (and that could include Stockton).

I just hate that we're even courting any QB currently in the portal and not on our roster. It seems all those candidates were 3-star talent then, and still are. On the other hand, we've recruited the kids on our roster (as 4-stars with vetted character) and have already invested in their development… so aside from what one should assume are superior raw skills and culture fit, they already know the playbook and system. Plus what signals does that send to them? I realize we have to have plans B + C in this failing era of CFB, but I hope we're "re-recruiting" the kids we already have harder than kids we don't have. Go Dawgs!

Beat me to the punch! 😂 I just thought he was getting super involved with the team… 🤔🤪

Since you figured that one out, maybe you can translate the second sentence here “Both Bennett and Beck have been under incredible microscopes at Georgia. We’ll see if he’s ready to give that one way or another.”… I still have no clue 🙄

Stockton really impressed me with his performance in the SECCG. What he did took balls and character. The way guys responded to that was incredible. He's a Georgia kid and has invested himself in UGA whole heartedly. He should be justly rewarded. I say we dance with the one that brung us.

Gunner is not Bennett and never will be. If he were as good as some claim, he would have supplanted Beck this year. He is an adequate backup but will be the reason if we do not advance in the playoffs. Beck had a bad year from an INT point of view but a few off the hands drops resulted in interceptions. He was not sharp to begin the year, a sophomore slump so to speak, but came back the 2nd half to his form from last year. Those thinking Gunner is better than Beck either do not understand football and CKS' approach or simply do not like Beck.

Rashada is the only one outside of Beck to have ever started a game. That's why I'm surprised he isn't at least #2. He missed spring practice, but he's had the whole season of practice to get up to speed by now. We will have an interesting quarterback competition this spring and maybe through fall camp.

I agree. Gunner's demeanor and composure under fire indicate he is ready for the big stage. With a little bit of luck he and the rest of the Dawgs will be sporting National Championship rings for this season. Go Dawgs!!!!!!!!!!!!

We'll need to be able to run the ball with some consistency, to get the play action going. When receivers get the chance they need to make the catch.Design some runs for Gunner, pray he doesn't get injured, and pplay great defense(turnovers and short fields). Hope that CMB can call one of his better games and not have another 1st half dud where we score 3 points.

Would be too much to ask of Gunner to go the entire 2nd half in the 2 minute drill like CB had to do against a couple of teams this year.
