Kirby Smart doesn’t expect the Georgia offense to change with Gunner Stockton taking over at QB
ATHENS — Gunner Stockton and Carson Beck are different quarterbacks. Beck, who has displayed some athleticism this year, is much more of a traditional pocket passer. He would take off as only a last resort.

Yes, Notre Dame plays mostly man-to-man on defense and they are one of the best defensive back groups in the nation. I honestly think it will be a challenge for our WRs to make good separation. Let's hope they can find a way.
Fantastic front page article by Seth Emerson today about Gunner in The Athletic…" Who is Gunner Stockton? A bit Jake Fromm, a bit Stetson Bennett, a lot George Bobo"

On a side note: I want to wish All my fellow DAWG fans a very Merry Christmas, and a safe holiday season!..GoDAWGS!
Uh duh, we all knew CKS wouldn't tell us anything of relevance.
Gunner possesses something we used to call intangibles or the it factor. The offense seemed to be aware of that in the SECCG. You could tell by the way they rallied around him. We will be alright with Gunner at QB.
Go Dawgs!!!!
Fully and Sincerely echo your sentiments Brother !! Merry Christmas to You and family and All our fellow Dawgs and their families !! I sure hope our beloved Dawgs are gonna give us a late Christmas on Jan 1st !!
OK I’m no coach or expert at anything other than doing some serious stuffing groceries down my neck !! 🤣
But on the Offense I think allot of it rests on getting our running game going as best as possible. That’ll sure be of Big help to Gunner. IF the ground game is going really smooth he can live making short to intermediate more comfortable passes.
He Will need to throw the occasional deep one to keep them from loading up on the LOS, and That’s where it gets scary. Not saying Gunner is not capable, it’s more a tip of the hat to ND’s sticky secondary.
But just my humble opinion I don’t think ND is any better team than TX, head to head they Might not even be as good, I don’t know factually as they haven’t played each other. But TX has shown they are a stout team.
One of the good things I saw with Gunner that Yall probably noted as well. He didn’t have the “ deer in the headlights look” that allot of QBs get when called upon in a big game like the SECCG. He seemed cool, calm, collected going in. Think on that a moment him Suddenly having to replace Carson due to injury vs TX who themselves have/had a pretty good defense, one of the higher rated ones in the SEC. But his eyes never looked like telescopes !! He trusted in his training and his skills.
Yes he threw an INT but that can be said of great veteran QBs in a game like that. Kirby said that was on the Coaches as they were on the wrong page. I have to accept that as I’m not on the coaching staff I’m not gonna say that Kirby lied on Ntl. TV If someone else wants to say that then that’s Their choice. I choose not to.
Gunner does not have even vaguely the experience that Carson has. This will be his first Ever start in a game and in a game of this magnitude I’d be pleasantly Shocked if he Didn’t make some mistakes. I advise all my fellow Dawgs fans to prepare themselves for that possibility.
But if he can Limit the number and severity of mistakes, and Quickly Recover for the next play then for me that’s all I can ask. Just do his job as he’s been trained and play within his skill set, I think in fairness that’s about all we should expect from him.
I doubt he’s gonna be Super Bowl multiple times winner Tom Brady in his very first start in a game of this magnitude. I’m extremely confident that Gunner is gonna give his All to help his team win. He’ll leave everything he’s got on the field, along with his Team hopefully it’ll be enough to chalk a W.
All I ask from our Dawgs players and coaches is their maximum effort, if they do that I Believe they will Win and make us all proud. Go Dawgs !!
