Thorson is an absolute weapon any team in the country would covet. I hate it for the young man and the team but at UGA, it’s always next man up. However, punters like this guy don’t grow on trees. I wish him a speedy and complete recovery and hope he is back to his old form next season. I remember as a kid watching Ray Guy boom punts. I hope Thorson receives this well earned award. Go Dawgs!

And Smart didn’t rule out that Stockton could maybe even take up punting duties for Georgia.
“We’ve got them all out there punting. You know, Gunner can punt, Puglisi can punt,” Smart said. “We’ve got some wide receivers that can punt. I’ve had to punt a couple times, so we’ll just keep going until we run out of punters.”
