Notre Dame coach Marcus Freeman couldn’t help but break a grin on Thursday night.

For the love of God, someone answer the phone! It’s Hines Ward on line one! Go Dawgs!
For that matter, somebody pick up on line 2….it's Terrence Edwards…..not to mention, Buster is on hold……and I bet Matt Luke would love a Kirby call!!!!!
All those “Keys to victory” and yet ND will lose by a solid score to Penn State. Freeman is using hindsight for his keys to victory story.
Notre Dame didn’t beat the Dawgs, the Dawgs beat themselves with absolutely Horrendous O Line play, bad special teams play, and the infamous sideline penalty.
Dawgs O Line just Totally whiffed on protecting Gunner, and could not open holes for our RBs. The kick return for a TD was a total breakdown on special teams. And I guess we learned a painful lesson about staying out of the white area on the sidelines.
Refs didn’t help either the first ND rushing our punter Should have been a 15 yard penalty for roughing the punter. And Refs could have and I feel should have gave a side line warning Not a 15 yard penalty.
But all this doesn’t matter it’s in the books now. Time to look to the future. Go Dawgs !!
Freeman strutting on sideline after that kick return was bush league. The Dawgs beat themselves. ND is not that good. Basically refusing to accept a 6-3 score at the half costs us the game. ND’s offense basically scored 9 points. We gave ‘em 14 points.
