Early Georgia football look at rising NFL talent on 2025 Bulldogs team
ATHENS — The cupboard won’t be bare for Georgia next season — it never is under Kirby Smart — but an early 2026 NFL draft projection suggests star power could be down.

Beck is not associated with UGA anymore. I don't understand if a player chooses not to be apart of UGA then why are you writer's insisting on including them on the newsfeed.
@SR_JR
So, you wanted Beck back in Athens this fall? If so, you are part of a very distinct minority.
Lol...right!? Beck was meant to be where he is...and, so is Gunner, Puglisi and Montgomery.
Allow me to go out on a limb, and make a projection. The UGA QB Room will change drastically, between this year and next. That's just the way it is, if you only play One QB per season.
That's why i see the game changing in a major way. Specifically, the QB position. Innovative coaches will start to see the value in employing 3 or 4 qualified quarterbacks that are also capable of running and catching the ball. I.e., multi-talented, two-way type players....similar to Champ Bailey, Hines Ward, Tim Tebow and many others.
Brock Bowers could've played any position on the field. So....he's the Unicorn. There aren't many of those guys to go around. They LOVE football.
I would submit, there are a lot of multi-talented players in DIV1 CFB, that can take a snap and handle the ball. Football IQ is already in decline at the QB position, due to all the transferring and money focus.
There are only a few guys available that have the arm, accuracy & speed needed, to make up for poor play in other areas. Unsustainable.
IMO...The "Wildcat Offense" is just the beginning of a new age of a College Football World that will soon have a plethora of partially trained, barely competent Quarterbacks.
The NFL will either, lead or follow....but, the can't get out of the way. Lol
Just hope the O-line and WRs play MUCH better next season.
Not till they change out those two coaches. I was kind of hoping they'd get another shot with Coach Pittman. But, I think he and Arkansas got married, this season. Lol. So much for that.
IMO...Searels is a good o-line coach…but, not the kind of coach the Dawgs need for Bobo's Offense.
This is a very telling story! This is probably Kirby Smart’s least talented team. With Georgia missing out on serious talent in the first portal window within key areas of needs (NG, Edge, DT, OT,CB) nobody should be surprised at a 9-3 outcome in 2025.
Eh, it's tough to tell. We had a lot of problems across the board from o-line to QB to awful WR play to hurt RBs and so on and STILL won the SEC title and made the playoffs… all while having the most difficult schedule in NCAA. Gunner clearly has a lot of talent and should be an exciting player to watch. Combined with a promising large WR room and there's potential there if the o-line can hold. Obviously, every year we get the very best recruits for defense so it's almost not worth mentioning…
Exactly. Player quality stays pretty much the same every year, in Athens. Even, before Kirby Smart arrived.
The Standard may have jumped a notch or two, under Kirby....but, the Dawgs have always had quality athletes, going back as far as I can remember.
ThThe only thing that changes...are the Coaches. The Dawgs coaching staff, has lost a lot of important parts over the last few years. That's bound to take a toll, wrt continuity. Especially, on the offensive side of the ball.
They'll figure it out...even if Bobo has to simplify the offense, to get more players on the field. As we all know....players win games...but, coaches can lose em.
The linebacking core didn't play "up to standards", either.…and, tackling was sporadic. In a word..."inconsistent". A look at the defensive coaching changes, made over the last few years, might be in order, as well.
Blocking, Tackling, Catching, Throwing, Penalties. Let's just look at the basic stuff and compare the results year by year, from '20 to '24. I'm just sayin'. Missed tackles, missed blocks [Freeling], sacks, Ints, dropped passes, route miscues and penalties were more prevalent this year, than over the last several.
