Need to build of this win and keep it rolling..GoDAWGS!
Bama is tough….Asa N. will need to step up his game even more.
"Leffew, in his first career start for the Bulldogs, finished with 14 points and a team-high 4 assists. He was also a team-best +17 on the night."
+17 on the night. +17 what?
Does everyone realize a big deal was just made about us beating the worst team in the conference and a team batting below .500?
A win is a win, but let's be real. Beat Bama this weekend, and these sportswriters will have something to talk about.
GO DAWGS!
Talented as Lawrence is, Leffew looks more comfortable and in control with the ball. Case in point, Lawrence had 4X as many turnovers in fewer minutes. In any case, lots of players getting lots of minutes is a good thing. Go Dawgs!
On "paper", it might not look impressive, but SC lost by a handful of points to some of the best teams in the country, and is a good team that would beat most teams outside of the SEC. I'll give Georgia the benefit of the doubt and chalk it up as a solid and important win, but by no means a defining one. Go Dawgs!
+17 is a +/- basketball (and hockey) metric of net points for and against while you're on the court… decent indicator of both your offensive and defensive impact on the game. Go Dawgs!
I try to care about basketball, but I just don’t—in general. I did enjoy watching ‘Nique play in Athens when I was an undergrad student… 😉
Getting Leffew off the ball really helped him. Of course Tryin isn’t a PG either but again that speaks to the horrible roster construction by Mike White. Still don’t see this team finding enough wins to make the tournament, but I hope I’m wrong.
@khummel That’s bc Lawrence moved into Dakotas back up PG role. Both are much better playing the off guard. Neither have the skil set to run point.?
