Some of the worst offensive basketball you will ever see. 17% from 3. 47% from FT. I hope this year we will just decline the NIT bid. This is one poorly coached team.

I can’t wait to see how Mike Griffith sugar coats this loss.
Expectations for this team is gone. This is not an ncaa tournament team. Tourney worthy teams don’t get blown out of most every away game and they don’t lose to teams they should beat. It’s obvious why White was run out of fla.

I only coached rec league ball but even I know the way to correct poor foul shooting it to shoot foul shots till you are sick of it. In high school our coach made us shoot 100 of them before we even started practice. You can win close games being good at foul shots. Also if you are horrible at 3 point shots then quit throwing them up game after game after game.

Josh Brooks sure can pick em.

@blawless Other than possibly Wes Johnson his track record for hiring coaches is downright horrible. Hopefully at some point the boosters will hold him accountable.

Tennessee by 20 in Knoxville over a poorly coached Florida team.

Kansas Sate by 19 in Ames over a poorly coached Iowa State team.

Missouri by 27 in Starkville over a poorly coached Mississippi State team.

Oklahoma by 30 in Lincoln over a poorly coached Vandy team.

@dazzledawg its an aberration for all of those teams you mentioned. It’s every away game with Mike White. Plus it goes much deeper than results. It’s bad fundamental basketball. Do you even watch the games ?

    Poorly coached teams.

I had high hopes but this team can't compete with the big boys. That much is clear. Shot selection is terrible, overall shooting from the floor is abysmal and they can't make a 3 pointer to save their life. Seems like the overall offense is sorely lacking any kind of structure other than street ball…unless that's a strategy. The other glaring problem is free throw percentage. Bama 82% vs UGA 47%. That is called poor coaching. Shoot em all night if you have to, but that stat is downright awful. Shoot frees better and a few of those close games might go your way. I don't care if they do make the Dance. They'll get bounced after the first game. Look at the quality of SEC basketball and ask yourselves why UGA can't seem to put it together. Plenty of others do with less resources than UGA. I just don't get it. Find a real coach, not a retread from some other SEC school. Screaming at the refs isn't going to win anything.

Maybe you could enlighten us as to how our HC could improve his players’ shooting %. I’ve followed our basketball program since Hugh Durham’s first season, and one thing you can count on, no matter who the HC, we are poor FT shooters, and usually lead the league only in turnovers.

@dawggie Recruit better shooters. This is Whites 3rd year. This is the team he wanted. He was given a decent bit of nil $ to construct it. And he got a bunch of guys who are basically the same. No shooters. No ball handlers. That’s on him. Then there is the radical idea that if you run better offense sets you can get your players easier looks thereby improving their shooting percentage. Ball movement. Moving without the ball. All things seemingly foreign to this team. The last part of your comment about UGA being a bad ft shooting team since 1978 is too dumb to even reply to
