Hey folks - as a member of the DawgNation community, please remember to abide by simple rules of civil engagement with other members:
- Please no inappropriate usernames (remember that there may be youngsters in the room)
- Personal attacks on other community members are unacceptable, practice the good manners your mama taught you when engaging with fellow Dawg fans
- Use common sense and respect personal differences in the community: sexual and other inappropriate language or imagery, political rants and belittling the opinions of others will get your posts deleted and result in warnings and/ or banning from the forum
- 3/17/19 UPDATE -- We've updated the permissions for our "Football" and "Commit to the G" recruiting message boards. We aim to be the best free board out there and that has not changed. We do now ask that all of you good people register as a member of our forum in order to see the sugar that is falling from our skies, so to speak.

Georgia OL Marques Easley plans to enter transfer portal

Easley will have three years of eligibility remaining at his next school. He signed with Georgia as a 4-star recruit in the 2024 recruiting cycle out of Peoria, Ill. He appeared in two games last season for Georgia.

No real loss here. I didn't even see him on the projected offensive depth chart. Best of luck going forward.
Liking that this TP sees some off-the-field issues exiting the building… again, hoping they use their moves to reset and learn from their experiences (good or bad)
Man. I couldn't have asked for a better 2 to go. There's several great OL young men in the portal. Let's go shopping.
Interesting that we lost both players today who are indefinitely suspended. I wish them well, but we don’t need all these distractions (and embarrassments) in our locker room. Hopefully we can use their scholarships to get better players out of the portal. Go Dawgs!!!
Like the rest of the comments here I don’t wish these two young men any evil. Maybe they will learn from it and go on to success. But I’m Hoping that Kirby sent a tough message with the Indefinite Suspensions. Things HAD to change at UGA !! Now as has already been stated time to go shopping !!
good luck to him. Hope he learns to drive slower.
Ditto for Marquis.
What a waste of a scholarship that could have went to someone a lot more appreciative of the opportunity and actually values a college degree.
Bout time Kirby took a tougher stance with this speeding mess. Hopefully everyone else will see that Kirby isn’t putting up with it anymore.
“We’re probably not as good on the line of scrimmage as we have been in the last three to four years,” Smart said following Georgia’s spring game." - Kirby Smart
Well, that's concerning. Georgia was not good at all on the offensive line last season.
I agree, looks like Kirby has drawn a line in the sand. Both of today's transfers were suspended indefinitely after traffic violations. That seems like a tougher stand that Kirby took compared to prior players with similar violations.
Agreed. We need some experienced OLs out of the portal or else Gunner is going to be Runner Stockton.
Kirby is now taking a stronger stance against these reckless drivers. Both Easley and Tuggle hit the portal as I thought they would. As you guys have said….let's go shoppin'.
I Have a feeling, this won't be the last one. The hammer's comin' down in Kirby Town....on all those speeding and reckless driving incidents.
They probably have to pay a heavy price for traffic and alcohol-related violations, that result in arrest. The price may be too high, for some. They'd rather move on, and get a fresh start elsewhere. Lol
Meanwhile.…the Dawgs are still stacked and they just cleared NIL space, for some more "dedicated & deserving" young men, that may have gotten passed over the first go-round, in recruiting.
In other words....there's a line of replacements, extending out the back door.
Wonder how many previous transfers involved disciplinary issues...and, we just didn't hear about it?. Lol...it happens.
Well, bye….good luck, and don't take any wooden nickels.
